I got a budget from 300-500 to give autogeek . I got a 2004 Toyota Highlander that I want to put like new even though is my daily driver or at least like Mike would say as best as I possibly can !!

Now here is what I got on my shelf,
1)Meguiar 105/205
2)Wolfgang twins 3.0
3)Fuzion + Souveran II
4)Collinite 845
5)Klasse AIO , Klasse Sealant
6)Orange, white pads, black pads
7)Menzerna 85RD

I'm looking into trying out the menzerna line and getting a good combo for polish but I don't know what to do I go to the website and so many things to buy but i want something smart with it...

my DA is a Meguiar V2...
any help would be appreciated

I'm not saying don't buy a ton of goodies but what's on your shelf is plenty good to clean up any ride. Feel free to send some AG gift cert's my way if there's any $$$ left over. Depending on the condition of the paint, Menz Power Finish followed by Super Finish or PO85(never used but hear great things) would be my choices from that line.

105/orange+205/white+PO85RD/black=near flawless paint. Apply LSP of choice and you'll have yourself a 'better than new' looking car. I don't see the need to purchase anything extra :dblthumb2:

Assuming you have APCs, towels, brushes, clay, IPA, etc., etc....

No need to try the Menzerna line when you have the Wolfgang Twins(they're made by menzerna and very close to SIP and 106FA).

Flex 3401?

Looks like you got everything you need if your just detailing your car. And great products also. :props:

If your gonna get your products in a 128oz volume then don't forget to get the little squeeze bottle applicators.

:iagree: Right now they are on sale for 8 bucks for 12 bottles.

You have just about everything you need as well as a Meguiar's DA polisher I'd say hang on to that cash and get started on your Toyota.

The only thing I see missing is:

  • Car Wash
  • Clay Bar
  • Microfiber Towel

How would that Flex compare to the Meguiars 2??

I have a question about the black vs blue vs red pads, what is the difference in terms of applying them on a paint, do they make any difference in which pad I need to choose for the last step process?

Also i got a daytona brush, but the only microfiber I got are the Costco yellow ones and I dont have drying towels so what I use are the microfibers and just spot dry the whole car slowly. Can you guys offer me help in that department because im overwhelmed in the site as to which microfibers and drying towels to choose from.

The Flex3401 is a workhorse!! When first started reading up on it I was sold. After I used for the first time I was hooked, and I want to purchase another as a backup. It really is a "BAD A**" ! :buffing:

The yellow MF towels from Costco's are good enough for now, purchase your polishes/waxes first, and afterwards if you find it really that necessary then purchase some. IMO

Hahaha I got so much luck that I started my detailing today with the Meguiar V2 and after getting done with 1 panel it started sputtering and dying.... so I went to examine it and it started back up again when I was holding up the CORD and as soon as I released it sputtered and died....

Im sending an email to Meguiar right now because the machine is not even 1 year old and I think I'm gonna have to spend the $ on a good DA like FLEX 3401

Ditch #5 and go with Optimum Poli-Seal
Ditch #2 and #7 since you are getting #1
Pick one or the other for #3
Grab some Optimum Power Clean

I think the OP meant he owns all the items on the list provided.

Yes I own all the products above but thanks!! I'm looking at the FLEX DA should I grab it or wait for the DA/Rotary thats coming soon??

gonna see what the optimum power clean does

Unless you're just chomping at the bit to spend money you've got everything you need to do the job. I've seen numerous reports of problems with Meg's 110 v2 power cords. Reports indicated Meg's is replacing the polishers promptly.

You might want to pick up some MFs. I love my Cobra WWs... might consider some 600 Jrs and save the Costco's for door jambs and utility work.

You also might consider a 4" backing plate and pads... comes in real handy for smaller areas and spot buffing.
