lol that ones a little weird, someone took acapellas and put them over beats, they dnt line up at all though

some of my favorite big:
gimmie da loot (serious skills in this song)
things done changed
everyday struggle

Method man is another one of my favorite rappers, but again just the old stuff really. Old wu-tang is some hardcore sh*t!

listen to wu-tang - reunited
thats some crazy rhymes and production for hip hop

36 Chambers baby:righton: , haha, I really only listen to metal and hard rock, but love the old Wu.

im the same way now surfer, hip-hop forced me to not like it anymore with the crap that theyve been putting out the past few years, and its only gonna get worse I assume.

Love the old Mobb Deep (don't like their new stuff):
YouTube - Mobb Deep - Survival Of The Fittest
YouTube - Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Pt. Ii

some Wu
YouTube - Wu-Tang Clan - C.R.E.A.M.
YouTube - Wu Tang Clan - Da Mystery Of Chessboxin'
YouTube - Gza Ft. Rza - Liquid Swords
None of these new rappers are even on the level of lyrical ability of Wu nor the raw and complex production of Rza. The "Forever" cd is just amazing. Heard they have a new cd comming out that they said will put all these new "rappers" in their place lol. I can't stand that 50 cent I'm rolling on 20's where would I be w/o you Ja Rule crap :D, and the beats are not even comparable to some some good Wu.

One of the only modern rap groups I like is Jedi Mind Tricks, have a mix cd with a bunch of their older songs and some newer. I think I have a clip of Pennywise singing Gin and Juice, does that count :D

:iagree: It's all "I have money and chicken heads" and thats it and they just repeat that same crap over and over. I don't like the new rock either, to me the last great rock album was Metallica's Black cover. Guess I just prefer the older stuff.

OMG Sally that girl man it's been ages since I've heard that one man thanks

i am total old school when it comes to rap.

public enemy, fat boys, kurtis blow, b.d.p(boogie down production) w/ krs1, slick rick, rod base and dj easy rock, kwame, kid and play, ice t, etc...

Check out Shadows Fall and the new CD by Trivium. The singer for Trivium sounds almost like Hetfield and they have sick guitar work.

If you have a good tolerance for screaming vocals, I'd also recommend Dark Tranquility and In Flames for some awesome Scandinavian melodic metal. You Viking guys know how to rock!
