Mike's thread the other day about the coffee and old car got me thinking.

What is the oldest car you have detailed?

Post a few pictures and the year. If there is a cool story behind the car, tell us that too.

Here is a 1947 Alvis that I was asked to do. Don't have any cool stories behind it but it was a neat car.

1932 Ford Roadster
This car is an original Henry Ford steel hot rod from the 50's that the owner had sold and was able to buy it back and vows never to sell it again. It has been through many changes and currently has a Roush 347 crate engine and a quick change rear end.

Inside the grille, it is painted "A Survivor"

The next oldest would be my 1964 Riviera. It was my great aunt's car and when my Dad passed away, my Mom wanted me to have it as she knows I love cars and taking care of them. The car has 31k miles on it and mostly original paint. There is signs of some paint and bodywork with a little rust starting, too. I just try to keep it clean.

That Toyota is sweet, definitly way before its time.
I thought getting in and out of my Vette was hard this car makes a Vette or a Lambo feel like a family car . The car line was originally made for racing also .

Fiance's 1967 & 1969 Chevrolet Camaros, She's in the process of finding a 1968 to finish the set ;) If I wasn't deployed I'd post pics, sorry...

I don't have a business YET so the oldest would have to be my own. A 1991 F-150. Does anyone know how to make the bed cover have a good shine without getting rundown after it rains?

My 67 Cougar is the oldest car I have polished. The pictures are very washed out but you get the idea.

1938 John Deere G.

It has no sheetmetal except for a hood. I waxed it...

I have them on my photobucket account. Accessible at home. I will post one up this afternoon if I can remember.

Any advice to bring luster out of that type of single stage spray with no clear?
