Will write a detailed review later but I just wanted to say how awesome Hydro2 is. After several years I finally broke down and bought a liter. Today we had a regular customer come in with a 2015 Sierra that hadn't yet been detailed and we suggested a wash and sealant to protect the exterior. Since Hydro2 just came in the mail I felt it was time to try it out. WOW, this makes sealing a lifted crew cab long bed truck super easy. Literally cut over an hour of labor off the job. Love this stuff, well worth the money.

Love this stuff. We're seeing several months of durability on paint and up to 6 months of water beading on side and rear windows! The ease of application is unreal.

One thing we've started doing is, even though it's a "touchless" sealant, we spray it on each panel and quickly spread it around with an applicator. You use less product and IMO get more even coverage.

Have you tried it on wheels yet? You can get it into every nook and cranny, even the calipers. Amazing, amazing time saver.

Has anyone done a comparison between Hydro 2 and Hydro 2 Lite?

I wonder what you are giving up with the Lite variant?:dunno:

Hydro2 is one of my favorite products. I'm a big fan of the new HydroFoam shampoo they released too. CarPro never fails to impress me.

I've tried both. I like them both. Supposedly H2Lite has some of the same components of Reload in it (which is why it can also be used as a wipe on wipe off product). I actually like Lite better because then I don't need to worry about dilution ratios or using it within a certain amount of time.

I 100% agree, I have been using it all year on the 15 rubbish trucks for the cab paint (and the body on one truck the driver takes amazing care of it so I dont mind). I used to wax or seal them once year but it was a lot work and time now with Hydro2 I can run out every 2-4 months when I see a driver washing his truck and I can just quick spritz and power wash with the 2 of us it takes 3-4 minutes.

HydrO2, HydrO2 Lite, and HydrOFoam..... all great!

Simply no quicker way to apply protection to a vehicle... and the beading lasts far longer than I originally anticipated! I've been using HydrO2 for well over a year now on customer cars and my own, and consistently see 3+ months beading on my wheels alone. Gotta love it.

Ehh, sounds a little too good to be true, so I think I will pass until somebody posts a long term comparison vs a traditional sealant.

What specifically would you like to know?

I love this stuff too!! I was hesitant at first like many others, but it is truly awesome stuff and I wish I didn't wait as long to try it out either. When I have customers that just want a wash and wax, this is my go to product right now. I love the time savings and it really is amazing.

I started using it in the spring and just went out and did an Explorer that I but Hydro2 on back in April. I was shocked to still see major beading on most of the car. A quick reload and it was protected for winter. It is really and amazing product and so efficient (kinda surprised that you hadn't discovered it yet Ryan) :D

Same here. Protected my wheels through most of last winter and took close to zero effort to use.

It is not to good to be true. It is simply one of the easiest products in the world to use (as long as you have a water source) and the durability is good and the shine and paint slickness is excellent.

Lets assume the durability was only fair at best, its still so easy that it would be worth applying.

I personally recommend Hydro to female friends that take care of their own cars but dont want to hassle with wiping and buffing. Its just so easy.

Yeah a lot of people were saying the same things about that Permanon stuff until some un-sponsered comparisons were put up by people who purchased it and it was actually only lasting 2-3 weeks.

So I will wait.

What I would actually like to see, is someone who purchased it for themself, put it on half their hood, and a tough proven sealant like Wolfgang or Powerlock on the other half, and then take photos for 3 months after just washing with no toppers.

If it can truly stand up that long, then I would absolutely switch to it.

Like everyone else has said, you would not be disappointed:xyxthumbs:

Hell, I can't stand applying wax by hand or even by machine, very tedious. Hydro2 is my favorite.

I am not sure why there are so many skeptics. So many people, on multiple threads, professionals and enthusiasts alike have vouched for the longetivity of this product. None of us have any stake in Carpro that I am aware of. We are sharing our experience with the product like we do with hundreds of other products. Why is our feedback any less valuable for this product than it is for any other.

This product works, as advertised, and or better than advertised per peoples experiences. But dont take my word for it.

Wish one of you guys was near me ( NOVA ), planning on applying PowerLock to my wife's car tomorrow, would be easy to do a half-hood test.
