do you leave the sponge in the solution all the time?
Yes. I clean the sponge with APC every other wash just to keep the BRS clean. I make 4-4.5 gallons of ONR solution and wash multiple times with one bucket.
I modified the grit guard in the bucket by cutting an inch off the legs to have access to more of the solution. If you use multiple buckets then it's recommended to have ONR in each of those buckets as well. I will only use two buckets with one bucket being for wheels and tires only.
So if I use 2 buckets, one for rinse, it should have ONR in the rinse bucket?
I will only use two buckets with one bucket being for wheels and tires only.
Just wondering why the third bucket
I thought it's for the tire and wheels
Then I see no reason because after finishing the car I use the secondary bucket with sulotion for the tire and wheels
So why third bucket if you can use the remaining sulotion in the second bucket for wheels and tires? Maybe there's something I missed
Thank you

Don't doubt that's true. Soap does the same thing. The whole thing with ONR is the fact that the cleaners inside encapsulate the dirt and pull it to the bottom

There's no third bucket, I believe he uses one bucket for the paint and one bucket for wheels and tires only.
Also going with the 2 bucket idea in place for you, I don't know if D114 will emulsify the dirt the same way as ONR as that would be the idea, you wring out the sponge in the ONR solution and it encapsulates the dirt from the sponge and you have a clean surface again. If you're alreayd using ONR it's best to just stick with ONR.

Will is correct. 1 bucket for paint and the other for wheels and tires. No third bucket. Since I wash weekly opti clean is all I really need for wheels and tires. Low dust brake pads also helps.
With D114 it's recommended to use two buckets with one bucket being just being water.
