I've tried the Meguiars MF cutting pad, and the Surbuff Micro-fingers pad. Both are ok. I think the Meguiars pad failed prematurely. The Surbuff pads shrunk and curled after a few cleanings.

Anyone have suggestions for a durable, decent cutting MF pad?

Optimum MF pads have a good reputation and you might want to take a look at the new Lake Country MF pad as it looks very promising from early reviews.

Did the microfiber come loose from the foam on the Meguires??

Yes. The Surbuff one is solid, except for that shrinking/curling thing. Weird because I hand wash and Air dry.

Pls give me some more details. How's the cut/finish? How many cars have you been able to get out of a pad?

I can't tell you at this point how many cars because I haven't had them very long. The cut and finish is fantastic in my opinion. I found that I used less downward pressure, yet I achieved better results. There is a slight learning curve due to the core being a little more firm than existing mf pads, but it doesn't take long to figure it out. They clean up easier than existing pads in my opinion. Here's a link to my review for what it's worth - Lake Country Ultra Fiber. I have a couple corrections coming up in September and after that I plan to record another review and hopefully capture better pictures.

I just got done using the new LC rotor microfiber pads on my 3401 with the menzerna fg 400. The rotor version has larger foam core and comes handy for curve body lines:props: The correction was on an Audi s5 ceramic cc. I got it to correct down flawless. The pads itself need to be cleaned with the nylon brush after every single pass! This shouldn't be new to people who have used pads like this:)

Most durable? Optimum

Best cut/finish? Meguiar's

Least favorite? LC ultra fiber

I like the Meguiar's MF pads work the best for me and I have had a couple fail on me before. Thats because they still haven't perfected the glue on the back yet. With that said I still won't use any other pad because they still cut the best out of all the ones I have tried.

Do not waste your money on ultra fiber lake country. Im never buying those pads again man its too much work. They clog up after a test spot, have to fluff it back up. I just want to play Frisbee with them they suck so bad. That's me using a pc74

You have to do that with all microfiber pads.

Now I am clueless. Was looking into get the LC mf pads and I see this but then again, Mike gave a great review with them. What to do now.

Regardless of brand you will have to clean with air or brush often.

If I must say

Best cut/finish:meguiars
Worst cut/finish:LC ultra fiber
Fail in 2 uses/during machine wash:Optimums

Just my opinions.
