Hello, I just got my AG order, and one of the items I got made me think...
I got the "Opti Eraser, Aggressive grade", Now It did the job, GREAT product, silky smooth like a good Clay. :dblthumb2:

The only thing that I would like to ask is, When I use regular Clay, the Clay "Swallows" the dirt inside.
On the other hand, The eraser doesn't do the same thing, as the dirt gets stuck on the pad.
Would that dirt scratch the car while I use it?
I am cleaning it every time I change a car or sections in a car.

Waiting for your help! Thanks all! Im the MAN

I tried the "fine" grade on the hood of my 06 GTO this weekend and it left a ton of marring vs the Mothers clay I used before which left zero marring.

However, the paint on that car is very, very soft. I took the marring out with HD polish on an LC white pad to give you an idea of the paint hardness.

still my question is very simple, Will it scratch the paint when using the eraser? even a little? if it does, It doesn't worth it.

Personally, I would call Optimum and ask since it is a new product. That said, I would think visual inspections on clay or any replacement technology is still warranted. And unless specifically not recommended I would probably wash the eraser every panel or two just to be safe.

Thank you, I will clean it every time, and it's really easy to clean.
Thanks for your help guys!
Note> If anyone knows any other answers, I would love to hear it.

Keep it clean a use appropriate lube and no marring...well, maybe a little on soft paints, but you can look at some cars wrong and scratch em.

The most common problem when finding marring after claying is that you didn't clean the car well before claying. When decontaminating the paint, we should use a strong wash instead of LSP safe shampoos to get the surface as clean and grime free as possible pre clay. Power Clean, Dawn, P21 auto wash, IRONX or something similar will remove mush more than shampoo so that there's less to get trapped in the clay or replacement and scratch.
