Opti-seal and 845

Can you - yes... its not like the Optiseal would slide off, or the waxing police will come and arrest you if you do, however, I don't think it is necessary.

Optiseal on its own is a decent LSP and as far as I know, prefers to bond to 'bare' paint, so would hold up better as the base than atop 845.

Likewise, 845 on its own is also a great LSP - it may fair better sitting on top of Optiseal than vice versa.

If it were me, I'd simply pick one and be done with it.

FWIW I have also found Optiseal to be more of a sheeter than a beader, and the opposite for 845

Can you use opti-seal on top of 845
Yes; yes you can.

will their be a difference in depth and gloss
•I kind of doubt there'll be
a difference in gloss; depth--->:dunno:

-The #845 will wind up being
on the top---on top of OS.

Here's the rationale
for that statement:

(from Optimum's Forum)

•Does Opti-Seal lock in my Carnauba?
-No. The solvents will dissolve carnauba,
floating it to the top of the Opti-Seal.

This fact holds true with any solvent
based WOWA sealant. The carnauba
is not removed...just repositioned."
