Nice. Glad you liked it. The other Optimum polishes are great as well. They are my go to for plastic polishing as well. They seem to work better than polishes designed for plastics.

Kind of disappointing when you have all those pictures and no shots in the sun. Any black car is going to look glossy in the shade.

nice job,how much product did you use? 3 drops and primeing?
Looks great Kevin. :dblthumb2:
Nice review Kevin.. As you continue to use this polish, you'll find that it takes a lot less polish to get the job done and the cut that the pad will provide is better utilized when using less polish. This is a truly versatile polish when using a pad dependent mind set. I've seen good defect removal combined with superb finishing using a Flex 3401 with a Poorboy's World 5.5" red finishing variable contact pad for use with Flex VRG polishers. (Only available at PB's website)
This truck had what I'd call medium level paint defects before using Optimum Finish with the 3401 and that red PB's pad. The photo is before adding any wax or sealant.

Nice work Kevin, glad to see you're back in shape.
Great review, and awesome results. This polish seems top quality.
I have also to comment on this red truck above, looks beautiful Dave. My 'cutoff' is this before wax look, very well done mate.
I've also liked your pictures, and it's fully understandable if there are or not sun shots (please, don't want misunderstood here). Sun shots are great, are important, I like them, but they are not the only worth shot.
Generally, I have little to no time to get pictures, so I end up taking a lot fast pictures and then select some to share with you. Generally the best pictures have a reflection of some weird scene or a family member 'walking around semi-naked' reflected on my best sun shot. Just move on to the next!
By the way, I do believe AGO is (also) a good place for sharing product thoughts, techniques, and good shots as well, but 'perfect shots' are not as important as the whole idea within the thread. That being said, I use my cell phone camera and never edit even brightness of any picture.
Recently I was choosing between a Flex 3401, a Rupes, or a New Camera... I believe you know what I ended up buying!
I also don't ever use my AGO topics for 'marketing' purpose with clients. They are to share details of a work, give suggestions and receive suggestions, by a Detailer, to Detailers.
To help you, I've took a picture of what's above my head right now.
Would this make my work less valuable?
Sorry, I can't wait for those clouds to move away and get a better picture. Client is arriving and want his car, clean, 'like new', and BACK to his home... It's sad, but we have to live with it.
When I look to this kind of sky, I mentally sing..
'Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun,
Please shine down on me.
Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun,
Hiding behind a tree (a cloud, a wall, a roof, lol)
These little children are asking you (these are us!)
To please come out so we can play with you.
Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun,
Please shine down on,
please shine down on,
Please shine down on me.
Well thats great to hear being I love it.
I have many pads so I'll give it a go soon on my next detail

Don't be surprised if you see the product separate and curdle like small curd cottage cheese after an extended sit on a shelf somewhere. With Optimum polishes, sitting on the shelf too long tends to cause this, at least on my shelves. I don't recommend quart size bottles unless you're going to use them.
I shook the bottle like the "animal" that I am and then poured the product into a clear Yorker bottle and it reconstituted to some degree but was still somewhat clumpy. I polished a good number of cars with this clumpy finish polish and noted that it definitely works just as good as before it separated so it's pretty much a non issue.
Over all I love the stuff too and you can't beat the price.
One good thing with Optimum is that when talking to Dr.G and explaining any issues with his products, he always offered a replacement to me though I've never took him up on it.
I think Optimum polishes are best used with a rotary.
Nice job! :dblthumb2:
