Optimum Opti-Clean

This is very exciting! I was planning to buy some of this at some point (still will I'm sure) but Jim (Old Tiger) was very generous and sent me some products to review (including this one). So I'll be trying this out a lot sooner then I would have and I'm really looking forward to it!

Thank you Jim!

No problem. No one on this site who doesnt get paid for a review does it better!

Very intrigued with this product. Love the idea of being able to spray it around the windows, trim, chrome, etc and not worry about over spray. Definitely on my list of must tries. Lawd how this list keeps growing  //bluegoose//

The other waterless wash products (DP and Poorboys) have similar characteristics but then they have been out for a while and now Opti-Clean is getting the attention since some are promoting them more so everyone gets to learn what other products can do.

Al, I agree to a point. I havent tried PB, but have lots of DP WW experience. DP WW only only cleans. It does it very well. The OOC cleans, glossses and protects. It can also be used on interior as I suspect DP WW could. The major difference is cost/gallon. DP WW is $44 and OOC yields 4 gallons for $39! Based on first impression, I prefer OOC even if it cost the same as DP WW! Just my $.02.

Perfect timing... i am almost out of DP WW.. guess ill give this a go as a replacement.

Just wondering if the left behind protection is going to be an issue if its used to clear a little dust just before polishing on day 2 of a detail.

I don't think so, the polish you'll use on day 2 is going to remove whatever protection was left behind.

Ipolished the XLR yesterday. I used OOC to clean a few spots I missed a little durring wash. No problems at all.

I hate that we all acronym our detailing products, cause now I have to read the context to see if OOC is Optimum OptiCoat or OOC is Optimum OptiClean, geeerrrrr...LOL

Well, that's easily rectified, someone just need to come up with discrete acronyms for the two products. On the other hand, from previous discussions, it doesn't look like AG is going to be selling Opti-Coat, so you can just presume that OOC is Opti-Clean here.

Dang! I forgot about Opti Coat. Also is OCW wax or wash. They gotta come up with better names!

For sure, I suggested Optimum Instant Wash following the Instant Detailer Idea instead of the OptiClean name, but it was already decided I suppose. The label on my sprayer says Instant Wash in retaliation, haha.

Your proposed name is much more descriptive IMO! They should have named it that and given you lifetime refills!
