dengood1 said:Well folks, I bought this product the first day it was available and don't believe I gave it a fair chance upon my first review. There were some people, including myself that used it and had light streaking that could be easily wiped away and was thought due to applying over a carnauba. I don't know if that was the issue or not, but I decided to break it out again and use it on my car today and I have to say I got absolutely NO streaking at all and was incredibly easy to apply. If I don't think a product is worthy I don't discuss it, but if I do think it's worth mentioning I like to let you all know. If you haven't tried this out yet, I suggest doing so as it provides a nice wet look with great protection and is super easy to use. I've found that I really like this product and found it deserved a second chance and I'm glad I did!

dengood1 said:These were taken after riding 30 minutes through a rainstorm tonight after applying 1 coat of Optiseal last night. Sorry about the lighting....I need Carlos and his buddy to come hook me up some more lighting. I don't know for sure, but I think this is glossy and has a lot of depth....what do you think? I had to take them in my garage because it was pouring out.
See Gary, I always keep my promises![]()
I just looked at the pics and it looks like theres holograms or something in most of them, but I assure you there are none. I had to resize the pictures which may have messed with the look of the image. If you want full size pics, PM me your email and I will send you the original size ones so you can see for yourself![]()
Gary Sword said:It looks pretty good Dennis but not as good as when you detailed it with Souveran Paste. It looks like a grey car in the pictures.
Nimble said:I was ehh with the opti seal at best....to get it not to streak, you had to almost apply it as if you were putting nothing on. I sold mine 2 days after I purhased it. The "look" was no look, it looked like putting shiny clear stuff, on well, a shiny car (polished properly). Honestly, that Green 911 would look the same just polished and quick detailed. I don't like overly "shiny" cars, more of a wax/nuba looking sealant guy. I know I'm in the minority here, but even if I could save time with OS, I don't care much, I'd rather spend 20 min putting on a coat of Souveran or Natty's Blue and have a "look" I like.

dengood1 said:Guys.....I never said I was comparing it with anything, nor did I say it was my favorite LSP. I just happened to pull it off the shelf, try it again, and post the results. I thought it looked decent and was very easy to apply and didn't have any streaking this time, which is the main reason I posted this because when it first came out I had some also, but this time I didn't. It's not my favorite LSP, but it's a'ite. I'm definitely more of a nuba guy than a sealant guy. Thanks for your thoughts....
Rsurfer said:Hey dengood1, if it wasn't for your post I would have never tried os again. I'm on my way to qd again. If tomorrow I get the same results as today, I will be os my whole car. I still can't explain the reason for the slickness vrs. the roughness of the ss11, but if it works I'll stick with it. Again, thanks for the post.

That's what's wrong - "never tried it" but it has a hard cold shine - Buddy, I have used WG sealer and after putting OS on my Rav4 (flint mica) and my wife's Sienna (burgandy) there's NO going back to WG. Frankly, I like the Optimum line for compounds and polishes over any of the other products I've tried: WG, XMT, Megs, 3M, Presta, Chemical Guys opps - I mean Poor Boys!
