Costco's MF cloths are amazing. At $15 for a 24 pack you cant beat it. Only downside is it only comes in yellow.

Drew,The profoce ones? They come it 4 colors if those are the ones you are talking about.
Lol at the cd test but that's all I'll say cd test really stirs everyone up here. But yeah that test is meaningless but whatever.
Drew,
The Costco towels are slightly different than those carried by Sam's Club, which carries the Pro-Force towels.
I don't think it's meaningless when I have seen dozens of detailers and enthusiasts on this thread talk about it as a way of gauging a quality towel or product.
@op, the first microfibers I owned were from walmart, they were thinner and some of the stuff they sell now, similiar to zwipes, but I use them for trim, the interior and tires.
So if dozens of experts say setting your car on fire is awesome, then it's correct right? All I am saying is a cars paint and the plastic cd coating are not the same. I've seen and personally experienced the plushest towels scratch a car, that didn't scratch a magical cd. Gold plush Jrs, great soft totally awesome towel right? Pass a CD test right? Take that towel and use it on a single stage paint Honda civic or older Toyota. It'll scratch because its not about the towel it's about your paint. End of rant! :dblthumb2:
All seriousness though towel choice is dependent on your car and its paint. If you really want to see if a towel will scratch your car, go to a small area on the car, easy to recover by a quick polish and see if it scratches your car!
Sorry for the rant, my CD test partner in crime(CM8 6MT) is off on duty in the war or else I'd have one other person in the fight with me.
Honestly it's all about what makes your detailing fun, I just like sharing my thoughts!rops:
I happen to have and own a honda civic with, as you know, softg paint. The cobra towels pass the cd test and also don't harm my paint. The walmart towels, not so much.
If a bunch of experts say setting your car on fire is better than polishing I wont do it cause I'm not a sheep. I'll put my logic and knowledge behind it first. If it all checks out in that one second Ill follow up with more research and then go from there before doing it.
I don't think like that :xyxthumbs:

What does CD stand for? Also does any know if a Porsche Panameria has hard or soft paint?
