I had a customer with a silver metallic paint Mercedes ask me to touch up over 30 chips on his hood. He bought the touch up paint from Mercedes. I warned him before that there were strong chances that the paint would not match and he said it was ok and told me to proceed
I finished the job...leveled the blobs, polish and wax. The paint touch up is darker. Customer wasn't mad but said it was a butched job (I didn't comment since I've warned him) and preferred the car without the touch up on it
He is now asking for a repaint of the hood. I didn't suggest to remove the touch up paint yet since I prefer to discuss those issues face to face. I didn't charge him for the job even if he told me to proceed since I should of do a test spot but he was anxious to get rid of the car.
Any tips from here?
