Pan the Organizer product line...let's discuss@

Oh come on...I'm the only one that watched the video that SNP209 posted? Where Pan's Ceramic Spray Sealant beat the pants off ADS's Ceramic Spray Sealant?

Is that what happened? I honestly haven’t watched it.

I might have to watch because I've got ADS Ceramic Spray Sealant stacked ontop of my ADS Quartz Coating and it is GLORIUS

It's a bit longer than it needs to be, but I'll give you the Cliff's notes: junk hood, clayed and decon'd, half done with Pan's, half with ADS, 21 hour cure. Pan side noticeably darkened the paint (looked like a black metallic hood). Washed repeatedly with CarPro Reset, then KC Greenstar 10:1, Adams Wheel and Tire Cleaner (pH 13.5), then Gyeon Total Remover. Somewhere along the way the ADS product died, while the Pan product held up until a contact treatment with the Gyeon, but even after that it was still there, just diminished. I don't know anything about this Detailing Dogma guy, but he said he chose the ADS to face off against Pan because he knows the ADS is a good product.

I could watch some more of Jimbos content regarding this topic… Pans product combined with some of these dudes makes it unbearable to watch.lol.

Edit: The Sheepdude is cool too.

I sacrificed the serenity of my morning coffee ritual and watched it

I don't think I was at all surprised at the outcome either

He said something like "people coming out of the woodwork" in reference to all the YouTube drama over PTO Clean

Never heard of him before, nor do I care, but yeah, it is insane the number of Johnny Come Lately detailing "experts" that have popped up trying to grab the limelight

You'd be surprised what a couple peanuts can do those inside the cage I guess

Based on the reviews coming in, Pan's Ceramic Sealant kind of reminds me of Griot's 3 in 1 in that it's not the best beading product, but durable. So it's nothing new and not the best lol.

That's a great observation and a good way to look at it, for me at least

For the October through April season I much prefer durability and CLEAN-ABILITY over beading

Thank you for the cliff notes version, I don't want to add to ANY views of ANY of his products! I see a well respected guy reviewing his products and had to unsubscribe to him as well, that's just me and how I chose to support or unsupport people. Pan's a parasite for how he launched his product line and this "inner circle" mentality is something I chose not to support and if you support him I just can't support YOU, sorry

The only time I have an issue with using it is when there won't be time for it to sit overnight before it might get wet and especially if I want to add a second coat

I don't always have the 24 hours you need for that to happen

I didn't know about the 24 hr wait/cure time for that product

I am honestly not sure how accurate that advice is but I have always just followed their instructions

12-24 for cure and 12-24 for a second coat so 2 coats is a minimum of 24 hours total

Not a dealbreaker for me now with the 2 nice cars in the garage and the ability to drive another car if need be but for others (family and friends) that don't have that luxury I still rely on Megs HCW

Put it on and send them home

KISS

yep, that's what they recommend. but they're trying to guarantee durability claims. it will still work if you don't have that much time, just may not last as long. who knows how much conservationism is built into that.

This was recommended years ago and I tried it. However, some said that there was little lubricity and tended to agree. I have CarPro Eraser and it did feel better to use.
I tested a bunch of these panel prep products back-to-back with an IPA + water mix the control. The IPA/water does a job, but it has more drawbacks than positives; lack of lubrication, evaporates too quickly to be as effective, higher IPA content in the mix is known to soften clearcoat. If you were dealing with softer paints, then the lack of lubrication could undo the work put into a paint correction. There is the argument that those lubrication elements could work against you, but products like Eraser and Prep have been out for years and I haven't come across information suggesting that they caused problems with the bonding of an LSP. At the end of the day, I do wonder how much money you save mixing IPA solutions compared to just buying a more targeted pre-made solution.
