I had no idea about his line but then again I don't follow him, seems like an elitist like that guy from Obsessed GarageWhat about Esoteric's new line? Didn't Todd go down to the Amazon to acquire some ingredient for his interior detailer.![]()
I don't know much about Mr. Cooperider, but he's a guy with a detailing business...which is a world away from some pretend car-guy.I had no idea about his line but then again I don't follow him, seems like an elitist like that guy from Obsessed Garage![]()
But he's kinda of a DB IMO, other than what you said, could you really like him? Did you know he too has a specific line of products

Really? I've found WETS to be very good, and last a long time. I've almost dropped the bottle many times because the stuff is so slippery. It's possible they've changed it because my bottle is from when it first came out, 1946 I think.
See the exception to the rule here in Brian from Apex, I don't recall him "removing a rib" to further talk about his greatness, infact I saw him at Car Supplies Warehouse content creator day about 2+ yrs ago and he was just walking around the crowd, no booth or fanfare but then again he's a legit detailer and business man who decided to have his own lineWhen a youtube channel starts reviewing their own products and says it's best GOAT then they lose any and all credibility for me. Doesn't help when the video is so poorly filmed that I have to trust that the bucket off camera actually contains the product they're talking about to clean off dirt from the sponge/towel.
I'll wait for The Guz to review a product before I spend money on it. He's not turned me wrong in years of watching.
I think @DFB does a bang up job on his reviews, I was just referring to the YT crowd, not that I care because I rarely watch YT content for product reviews, more for specific process tips, hacks, etc that I might be looking forWell yes, the Guz is one and the other is our own DFB (Deyon), the latter not a YouTuber but goes into massive detail about the products he uses
Yeah that TWHS group was yucking it up and yeah, I've been a repeat customer of several of those products but TW themselves have been kinda quiet, sans Mr. Cartoon Tire Coat which is a sleeper product but because it's aligned with him it may be over looked by snobs, hell, I almost overlooked it and I'm glad I tried it
I think our own members, Guz, Deyon and "maybe" Jon from Forensic can surely be trusted...IMHO

Out of all of those, its Larry from Ammo that is the class act. He has a great way of showcasing his products without the hard sell and "this is the best product" type mentality. Next time you watch a video of his, notice how he makes the car the star of the show, not the products he is trying to promote or his own personality. He isn't jumping on forums to bump his view count, then calling the members narrow minded, or attacking his own commenters.Who sparked this trend? Do you think it was Jay Leno in sort of a softball way?
Off the top of my head, here’s some of the so called influencers that have released their own products:
-Jay Leno
-Renny Doyle
-Auto Fanatic
-American Detailer
-Jimbo
-Detail Groove
-Auto Fetish Detail
-Dallas Paint Correction
-Apex Detail
-Ivan Lacroix/DIY Detail
-Obsessed Garage
-Esoteric
-Pan
-Ammo NYC
I can totally understand that, a sentiment I find applies to me across just about everything in some form or another. When I met Barry Meguiar I told him Gold Class wash was the 1st product I ever bought to start cleaning my 1st car and how there was something about the scent and the whole experience that made me feel like his brand of products came from a good place.
He was so nice and appreciative. He proved it right.![]()
There will be plenty of content on these products from Pan, he has a huge supporter base and plenty of contacts through YouTube.Well yes, the Guz is one and the other is our own DFB (Deyon), the latter not a YouTuber but goes into massive detail about the products he uses

Not defending the price, it's certainly not a value proposition, but you know that they are not the same product, right? Hyper Dressing is obviously made by Meguiar's, in turn owned by 3M. OG TD is made by B&B Blending and has Si02 in the formula, the color is coincidental and done by B&B not OG. If it were a rip off, why does he also carry Hyper Dressing?Just to clarify, I’m not saying that I disagree with any or all the people on that list. Nothing wrong with entrepreneurship, the only thing that rubs me the wrong way for example Obsessed Garage Tire Dressing is a blatant copy of Meguiars Hyper Dressing, even down to the color.
However when it comes to price + tax & shipping you’re looking at a total $119.00 per gallon of RTU water based dressing, whereas if you just buy the original Hyper Dressing you can get a gallon shipped for a total of $55 dollars, less than half the price and on top of that it’s dilutible up to 4:1
On the other hand if you choose to buy a 32oz. RTU bottle of it from OG it costs a whopping $45 + tax + shipping which is $22 bucks!
I can’t believe they charge people that much and somehow keep a straight face while doing it. Smh.
I don’t want to hear any excuses, that’s a flat out rip off.
Could be quote of the yearI'm obsessed with not liking that guy.
