PBMG Acquires Autopia.org from 3D International

PBMG is the parent company of AutoGeek, AutopiaForums and Autopia Car-Care. So actually we're talking about the parent company.

Thanks, yea I knew it stood for Palm Beach Motoring as that was in the first post but I did not know they owned AutoGeek.

If I have the history correct, Palm Beach Motoring Accessories (forerunner of PBMG) was a mail-order catalog for car/detailing supplies, and Autogeek.net was started as their internet arm, which ultimately supplanted the catalog business.

Palm Beach Motoring Group. The overall business that owns Autogeek, Autogeek Online, Autopia Carcare, AutopiaForums, Blackfire, Pinnacle, Marine 31, Wolfgang, etc...

So this won't affect 3D or HD products availability elsewhere, will it?

The forum merger and 3D products are not related. Only thing that is happening or changing is the merger of the forums.

If we have profiles on both AGO and Autopia, will they be merged or joined?

Bad news, if product discussions are limited to only those carried by PBMG, as expansive as that line may be.

Autopia.org is not changing, it will be an open forum we have stated this from the beginning and will not be changing that. Please remember just because Palm Beach Motoring Group purchased Autopia.org does not mean it is associated with Autogeek. Palm Beach Motoring Group is the umbrella corporation that has many different divisions.... just like the way 3M works.
Big umbrella, lots of small divisions under it!
