Pics - Engine Cleaned Using Infinity Wax Rubber Wax

Looks really good from here.
Do you have to buff it off?

I have used Sonus Motor kote but I feel WETS works and looks better for me.
Something about massaging it in seems to give a better end result.
 
A friend of mine that owns a fantastic detailing place turned me on to this product. It goes on so easy. Sonus is good, but it can spot if not done carefully. I was using 303, which is OK, but there are better products, this one being one of them. The downside is it takes time, but with foam applicators, it's not bad at all and I feel it may be the best engine dressing you could use due to the hydrophobic qualities.
 
Ninja, how did you clean the engine before coating it ?
I just placed an order at AG and am hoping to start cleaning my 2010 Frontier soon. It pretty much needs everything : paint correction and interior and engine bay detailing.
I'm hesitant about using cleaners with water on the engine. Maybe I shouldn't be, but I just don't know.
 
Man that is spectacular, I'm sure it look better now than it did when it left the factory! Time to add something else to the wish list ($$$)!

I've been cleaning engines the same way for about 25 years.

1. Spray engine with Simple Green HD
2. Use a paintbrush or any type of brush and hit as much of the engine as you can.
3. Hose it off (gently) - I cover coil packs and sensors. (I'm looking into getting a airless paintsprayer for rinsing as it uses little water)
4. Dry with electric leaf blower.
5. Start car and go for a decent drive to get engine very hot so it dries completely.
6. Use engine dressing of your choice - spray and shut the hood while the engine is hot. It helps it lay.

I've used Sonus Motorkote with great success and 303. Those were always my go to products. I ordered a bottle of Sonus as I may try it again but honestly after using the Infinity Rubber Wax, I don't think I will. The main difference with the Infinity Wax is you have to apply it with applicators. I used foam pain applicators and one tire applicator. Works like a charm.

My preference for engine dressing is favored towards products that leave more of an OEM finish and protect. I feel both Sonus and Infinity do that as they are both wax based. Sonus is acrylic wax and has one advantage of being a spray. The Infinity is likely even more durable. Time will tell.
 
Looks great pro 4x. Oh btw that's what I have. I just bought a 2019 Pro -4x. The engine you see is from that truck.
 
Sonus Motorkote is arguably one of the best engine dressings being waxed based and also in a spray. However, if I recall correctly, when water from rain would make its way into the engine bay after I treated it with Sonus, I remember it streaking a bit.....it's been awhile though since I used it so I could be wrong. I'm curious how this Infinity Wax handles water because it is supposed to be very hydrophobic and doesn't streak.

I tried it as a tyre dressing, it was terrible.

I`ll give it a go in the engine bay.
 
Just an update, this stuff does attract some dusty and dirt a bit more than an typical plastic , water based product. The only advantage I see in the engine bay is it is hydrophobic, otherwise 303 or Hyper Dressing is a better option.

So those 2 and not Motor Kote?
And just to make sure....You are talking about 303 space protectant,correct?
 
Hi, no i'm talking about Infinity Rubber Wax. It attracts dust. Doesn't lay well with plastics IMO. 303 is fantastic.

Yeah, I got that part.
I meant as far as 303, just the regular stuff? (aerospace protectant) and Hyper dressing.

I know you used Sonus before so I am asking if that is as good as those 2 in your opinion.

I used Sonus on my engine bay and Hyper dressing on my daughters. She everyday drives hers and I nice day drive mine.

Mine had more dust than hers, with way less miles driven.
