Pinnacle Signature All Purpose Cleaner and Black Onyx Tire Dressing
Wheel & Tire Extreme Makeover
Recently I had a 1936 Chevy 5-Window Coupe here for an extreme makeover showing how to remove swirls, scratches and overspray paint. Before we started on the extreme makeover however I used the new Pinnacle Signature All Purpose Cleaner to clean the wheels and tires and followed this with the Black Onyx Tire Dressing to restore a deep, dark satin sheen to the tires.
Before - Dull tires and dull looking wheels
Not only does the paint need an extreme makeover but the wheels and tires also need some help so they'll look just as good as the rest of the car when we're finished with it.
First I'm going to clean the wheels and tires using Pinnacle Signature All Purpose Cleaner...
For this I'm going to use a clean, terry cloth utility towel for some extra scrubbing power...
First I spray the wheels down with the Pinnacle Signature All Purpose Cleaner...
Then using the terry cloth towel, work the all purpose cleaner over the chrome curved surfaces...
Even though this is a garage-kept car there is still a good amount of accumulated road film I was able to remove. If you look at the chrome it's now a lot more clear and shiny...
Next I'm going to spray some Pinnacle Signature All Purpose Cleaner directly onto the tires...
Here I'm using the terry cloth utility towel to work the cleaner over the face of the tire...
The Pinnacle Signature All Purpose Cleaner did a great job of loosening and removing all the oxidized rubber plus all the road film that has built-up on the surface.
Next I'm going to dampen a black microfiber towel with Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Dressing and then spread it over the face of the tire and work it in really well...
After wiping off any excess out of the grooves and around the lettering, the results are a deep, dark black satin finish, perfect for this car and it's chrome rims...
Finished Results...
And here's the final results after we cleaned and dressed all 4 wheels and tires and also machine polished and waxed the paint to perfection.
