Please check in your local gas prices

$2.99 at the cheap places around here, But at a name brand like Shell or Chevron it's $3.05 (bot regular).

Diesel here in Indy down to $3.71 compared to $4.10 last week. Bring back the .19-.23 cents a gal. from the late 50's-early 60's. Does anyone remember when gas stations wouldn't take anything larger then a twenty dollar bill ? And cokes were a nickel and contained real sugar.

its about 3.19 here for 87. but i can sometimes get it way lower, here at a grocery store called bi-lo they do a thing called fuel perks for every $ amount you spend you get X amount off of a gallon, i had it down to .17 cents a gallon one time(i help a disabled lady out who spends a ton of money on food due to her "kids" who are all overweight) so since they don't have a car i get the benefits of cheaper gas every few months. last time i used the card i had 1.95 off of a gallon, gave it to the father in-law though as he drives a lot more then me. works even better if you have multiple households who can use the same card so all the fuel perks goes onto the same card and increasing the ammount off LOL.

....here at a grocery store called bi-lo they do a thing called fuel perks for every $ amount you spend you get X amount off of a gallon,...

Giant Eagle Does that in OH. PA, WV and wherever, each $50 grocery purchase nets you $.10 off per gallon limited to 30 gal, each 10 gallon purchase nets you 1% off groceries limited to 20% on $300 max. I let 'the discounts accumulate and it's pretty easy to tell when I'm cashing in because I take the gas cans along (since my tank is smaller than 30 gal) and my grocery cart is stacked to the ceiling. :D I'm like the Progressive Messenger guy... I wallow in the savings. :) Last time I got gas I paid 30 cents a gallon... which is about what it was when I started driving. (enter old coot comments here)

For those unaware, that GasBuddy site gives away a $250 gas card every week, you exchange points accumlated for entering prices, reading articles and taking polls that are exchanged for entry tickets. I scored one early last September which almost paid for the gas to get me to Las Vegas and back for SEMA. :xyxthumbs:

3.79 liters to 1 US gallon makes it $5.65. Still kinda pricey! You can always saddle up a kangaroo.

LOL - sold a truck and bought an escort back in 2003 cause when I moved to Cali the price hit 2.00 a gal! Price was like 1.50 in TN at that time. Good ole days.
