Pollen and detailing

same here Kurt. And as CieraSL and I mentioned, rinseless or waterless washes are convenient for stuff like this. But, like you said Kurt, as soon as you get done it just gets covered again. I did an ONR wash in my garage late afternoon yesterday. Even though my car was in the garage, just having the garage door open quickly led to a light dusting of fresh pollen. Oh well, car still looks clean : )

Well, I learned one thing. If you go to Finish Kare's website (the website that pops up if you Google Finish Kare), the contact information there won't work. I don't know why. :dunno: I had to go to this website to get the contact info.

Anyway, I called, and the woman who answered first acted like she had never heard of FK 425. I'm thinking, "Well, this is weird." Then I asked her if it would help repel pollen. And she was like, "Pollen?" Yeah, you know, pollen - the yellow crap that falls from the trees and drives us nuts? Actually, that's not what I said, what I said was, "With its anti-static properties, it helps repel dust. Do those properties help to repel pollen as well?" Her response: "I don't know. I don't think so." At this point, I'm thinking, well this is getting me nowhere. So I asked to speak to a technical expert. He told me that they didn't have any data or tests on that. WTH?! :bash: One would think they would know their products a little better, but anyway. So there you have it. I guess any tests on this will have to be done by us. The people I talked to were both foreign, so I could have been talking to somebody in India for all I know. I don't know. But there's your answer.

LOL! I live about 30 minutes from Finish Kare. I swung by there not too long ago and bought some FK 425 directly from them(no sense to pay shipping and have to wait a week). Anyhow, I spoke to the lady that you spoke to on the phone, she works at the front desk. There's her, and a few guys out back in the warehouse. The building looks about 200 years old, it's small and not something I expected. I guess what's important is they make good producs. I have no idea who you would talk to for technical questions, though.

Thanks for the update. I guess we are the true product testers!

BTW, I'm glad you decided to stick around 07 z-oh-6.
