Poorboy's polish with sealant on white

I use an Edge 2000 blue pad for this. I wish the colors were indicative of a particular level of cut across all pads, but it isn't. In the end it just depends on the type of paint, severity of oxidation, and other conditions that are unique to your project. Generally if you are just cleaning the paint then I would use a pad one level above the pad you would apply a wax with and that should do the trick.

Typically I work on 2010's or newer...my own plus a few family members & friends for kicks. Nothing too crazy in the paint. Run of the mill swirls, towell marks, etc. Not really trying to get them 100% show car perfect.

Yeah, then one level above your waxing/sealant pad should do the trick. I always try to keep my cleaning products separate from my waxing products when it comes to pads. You could probably get away with just a waxing pad, but the little extra bite of one level up can't hurt when you are dealing with this product.

to comment on pad selection, I typically use poorboys PwS with either an LC light green or white ccs pad. Green for more of a cleaning effect, white if there is a little more damage you're looking to get rid of (scuffs for example)

and I agree with OCDetails regarding durability. KAIO not so great. I did a friends car with only poorboys Pws back in july i think? I may have spray waxed it once or twice after a wash but that has been awhile now. it was definitely still beading the other night when I saw it in the rain and gave it a look

typically, I would top an AIO with a dedicated wax (usually 845). but as a standalone poorboys PwS seems to be decent

I've had the same experience with PWS. I have used 2 gallons of it over the past few years and upon returning to detail the cars for the winter season I have often seen that there was still nice beading from the spring detail. It is a nice and effective product, no question.
