Porsche 911 Carera 996 approach

Hi all,

I'm about to work on this car as of next week however I have no experience with the Porsche paint, and wanted to hear about your past experiences with this particular brand.

Certainly, I will do the test spots and the rest, but curious to hear what did you encounter whilst working on a Porsche.

I have quite a bit experience with newer Porsche's (Oldest was around 2002 I believe, "newest" being 2014 models) I did not have any issues during correction, but then again, every vehicle is different.

My go to combo has been M105 and M205 via Flex 3401
(The Porsche's I've corrected were "trashed")

I have only done one, which wasn't in great condition, and found the paint to be soft'ish.... not crazy soft like the Subarus I have done, but also not hard like the (mainly) VW's I do....

Yes, the paint is on the soft side. I have used Perfect Finish as well as FG400/SF4000 with great results.
