Client picked up this 997 C4S Cabriolet and was very displeased with the the "detail" the dealership did to it. There was no reason for a low mile car to look so poorly. After picking it up from the owner in San Francisco I began the work on it. Total time was over 30 hours.

The dealer said they polished out all the swirls and that the paint was perfect. I think they need their eyes checked.

There was compound residue in nearly every single body panel gap, courtesy of the dealer's reckless work

Deep scratches on the rear bumper. Much time was required to remove all of these

Better

Paint on the area behind the roof was extremely thin. Only light correction could be performed safely here

After several hours of careful work on the engine cover, each slat perfected

Tips before. Remember, the dealership signed off on this car as "fully detailed". I think not.

These were not the optional black exhaust tips.....not at all.

All finished, at 1:30am and ready to take back to client in SF. He was out of the state at the time, so he didn't mind the late drop off.

Thanks for checking it out

Beautiful work and photography

Can you provide any insight on what products and techniques you used?

Great job. That thing is gorgeous. Looks like 30 plus hours well spent.

With the exception of the bumpers and engine cover, the paint was on the soft side. D300 on a MF disc got the job done. Followed up by M205 and later PO203 on LC foam pads for final finishing. LSP was Blackfire Wet Diamond.

Looking very good mate, unbelievable how dealership deliver cars...

Either they know exactly they do poor work on purpose or they totally doesn't know what they are doing. Extremes!

Luckily this beauty found you and after investing many hours you could provide such results.

Thanks a lot for sharing,

Kind Regards.

Very nice work. I like that color very much. Some of those after photos look absolutely unreal.

REALLY nice work!

68 microns, wow.

what were the readings like in other areas?

Excellent job I'd email the pictures to head office so they can see what a proper detail looks like they should be ashamed the customer should have been given money off. Tell him to send them the bill I think all the dealer did was probably wash it but even that is debatable withe the state of the wheels & exhaust

That color looks amazing when properly corrected. Awesome job man!! :)

What a turn around, great job! What was your process with the exhaust tips? The wheels? I may have missed it but what polisher did you use?

Totally awesome work. I hope to work on expensive cars like that one day. It must be totally head turning when the owner takes it outside for a cruise.

wow. I would be one happy owner after that transformation!!
