Porter Cable Question

Are the components inside the housing supposed to be a little loose? It jiggles a little

I'm not sure. But mine wiggles a bit too. I find it to vibrate quite a bit at higher speeds. I guess it's normal...

Do you mean in the motor area, or in the head of the machine? I am going to check mine.

I'm just making sure I didn't vibrate it loose. It started acting funny, I pulled off the plastic head cover and noticed that the screws were coming loose. Thats when I saw the components inside the housing wobbled a bit

Nothing in mine seems to be loose or giggle at all.

Problem solved!!!!!! I had to pull out the ball bearing where you screw in your backing plate. Under there you will find a socket. Tighten it and good as new.
