Possible Spring 2014 Chicagoland Detail Day?

Just got off the phone with Chris West of Solutions Finish and they are also jumping on board with product sponsorship. You guys will have plenty of products to try and samples to take home.

The main reason for setting up interest for the detail day was to see if who'd be interested first and foremost, once that was established it was time to make a designated thread for it. We got VERY lucky to have Jeff step up and offer up his shop to us, the place is spotless so WIN WIN for us! I also thought we could bring something to donate so people could try something new, that is if you were able to do so. Then I asked Forestt @Mother's if he could donate to our meet and he agreed, so again, WIN WIN for us, not to mention Aerospace 303, Lake Country and our grand prize company's donation. So things have really grown larger than I could've imagined but its all good to go.

The idea of everyone working on the donor car is really cool because someone gets their car detailed, we get to all chip in on this and learn something all along and get the sense of accomplishment, I like that. Then the idea of a mini-clinic came up and I'm not opposed to that at all, this meet is pretty organic and doesn't have anything "set in stone", so I say if a couple people want to do this, go for it, I'm not against it one bit, I'm glad others have taken the initiative for this, I really am because all I did was got the ball rolling and sent a couple PM's and emails, I actually hoped it would grow from there and it has and for that I would like to say THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone taking time to attend the event, those donating items from their own collections, our corporate sponsers for being VERY generous and last but not least our host Jeff for opening his doors to basically complete strangers.

Let's go forward with the event and have a good time!

^^ Agreed!!! Some will in one thing while others will assist in the other. It will all work out and each person will have a good time.

I am still in need to finish my car before the event, it's a mess! But i can't wait for the event and to meet fellow Chicagoans.

Maybe we should meet up at Strat's on a Saturday before the event and grab some lunch? I would say this Saturday but its supposed to rain but then again it doesn't really matter, does it? My hours vary on Saturday, so its hard to nail down a time but it would be after 2 p.m. if I had to guess.

^^ I am down but also time limited; after 2pm would work until about like 5pm. I've never been to Strats yet even though it's like 3 miles from me.

Well I guess the easiest way to set this up is I can post what time I'd be up there when I leave work on Saturday and we'd go from there. I work in Palatine so it should take about a half an hour to get there. The weather isn't going to be too good though.

I might be able to swing by. I'm off rt83 just south of Oakbrook so it's close by. I'll check the posts - haven't been to strats in a while...
