I would've taped the box back shut and returned to sender. I'd expect nothing less than a proper piece after spending my hard earned $400... At least it wasn't a surprise. I mean you knew it was coming looking like that right? You didn't think to call them and request a regular 1?
 
For some, spending $50 less and dealing with the pink color is acceptable. I mean, it's otherwise the same polisher.

My point exactly. I didn't pay over 400. I used the 20% off last week and the price 299.99 and with the discount it came to 254.99. I payed 420.00 for my red HD one but for this price I don't car eif it was pea green. I wanted it so if in the middle of a job my regular one decides to give up the ghost for some reason I have back up. That's the way I am with everything. I hate to run out of anything. This thing may not come out of the box for years but I know I'm covered.
 
I think we all need to remember not to judge a polisher by its cover.:buffing: hehe

Mmm IMO it's not so much about the ammount of money, it's about the principal of having made the decision to purchase an important tool, a game changer for most.
There's alot of people who wait along time saving to finally obtain that Flex or Rupes.. Save me $50 but that's the catch? It's not about the money, I'm as cheapo as they come, but I'd pay full price vs. that scenario.

But like he just said, he already has another Flex so this is sort of a backup he now has on hand for whatever situation he chooses. In that case it's not as bad because it's sort of good to have 2 of the same tool look a bit different [in this case the different color tells them apart]
And also, it's not like it's his 1st Flex that he waited forever to finally buy. I take it back, I can see why you have no complaints. Congrats on your new Flex👍🏽
 
I wish I had gotten the pink flex. It wasn't an option when I bought mine.
It looks good in pink
 
For the guys that care about pink, if you are questioning your manliness by something as simple as holding a pink buffer. You should question your manliness in general.

It is just a pink polisher no big deal.
 
It has nothing to do with manliness. I simply think it looks looks horrible.
I mean just look at it and tell me that looks good? It's a hot mess.

And whether I paid $250 or $400 wouldn't matter. It's still hundreds of my hard earned dollars and I'd want my machine to look proper. Or if it's going to be colorfull at least let me choose for all the money I'm putting down.
 
I have not found anyone that will swap parts.

Some things just look good in certain colors.

Hahah right on man! I work in a shop environment and uh, didn't need another reason to get my chops busted! Haha but in all seriousness I just personally didn't care for the pink and I have paint ready to spray all day. The normal Flex was $400, and I got mine on BF with both discounts. To each their own...
