Post Your Unpacking Pictures

My new Merrells got delivered today, Moab 3 Gore-tex. Very comfortable, water proof, and grippy, so perfect for detailing, and walking the dogs.

Went to a grand opening. Got a tshirt and they threw in some free mini Griot's Ceramic Glass Cleaners. Should look nice next to my mini ceramic speed shines.

Sales on at the moment, 30% Hybrid Solutions, so I thought I'd try these two out. I really like Inside Job, works well on the acres of plastic inside the FJ.

Took advantage of a couple Labor Day (US) sales and the first 2 orders arrived.

First the Autogeek haul. Someone (Eldo!) mentioned Interior Guard Plus feels like cashmere so I had to order it and will try it on my moms new car. I’m going to compare Descale to Gyeon Restart. Needed a windshield coating and going to give G1 a try. And needed more DG 253. And wanted to try an alternative lug nut “brush”.

And this is something I’ve wanted for a while, mainly for sandpaper for rejuvenating headlights but I have some other uses planned too.. The KXK Detailing Pad Punch setup.

Here’s my third order of Labor Day sales. Trying to find a tire dressing applicator I like for low profile tires so trying a few. Also have a 3” tire dressing brush on the way. Gyeon Tire to try as I gave Tire Express away to a friend with a new car and I liked it. InnerScrub mitt to try for interiors as looks effective and efficient. And some TRC Dreadnoughts in 12”x12” for wheel drying touchups after blowing.

I really like the appearance of Gyeon Tire, just be sure to knock it back, I had it slinging if not leveled back properly.

If you end up using this to make mini pads as well as cutting sandpaper please give us your thoughts and opinions on how they work

Thanks

Some stuff ordered in and some OTC

The ceramic 3-1 has to go back, the sprayer is FUBAR

I will end up using the Megs Hybrid Ceramic Wax anyway because it’s a 50/50 chance I will be working in at least a drizzle and a 100% chance the car will get wet overnight so the Griots is out because of the cure time prior to getting wet

When you open the All-in-one, before you shake it up, unscrew the cap and see if it's separated.
I still have mine in the clear bottle and it separates after a day or 2 (there's a whole thread on the separation).
I'm curious if it still separates, which is why it's in a green bottle.

Mine still mixes up fine after lots of shaking.

They improved the separation issue before they switched to the green bottles. I can see a definite difference between my bottle from when it first came out and the replacement they sent me later, which was before they switched to green bottles.

Absolutely, this bottle was actually sent to me by Griots to replace one I bought last spring that was in a clear bottle and wouldn't stay in suspension for more than a few hours

It probably won't get opened for a while but I will report back when it does

On a side note when I was in Autozone yesterday they STILL had the old clear bottles of this stuff on the shelf that were totally separated and the bottles were covered in dust

They had obviously been sitting there for a while

The Griot's 3-1 I bought there had a ding in the bottom of the bottle like it had been dropped but it was the only one on the shelf so I took it anyway but after i got home just shaking the product up caused it to spew out of the bottom of the sprayer

Now I have to make a trip back to the store

Oh well...

Not surprising. Would you buy something that looked like that? Griot's should have replaced them. Autozone won't sell em and they won't order any more.

If it were my local AutoZone, I'd tell the manager that.

Absolutely, but you would think Griot's would have some way to monitor the situation and ensure that their brand was represented well and hopefully in a professional manner...

I also saw clear bottles at my local Autozone last week and they were separated.
I might mention that next time I'm in there.

I exchanged that messed up Griots 3-1 ceramic spray wax yesterday

The store I went to only had one bottle and it had a ring of yellow residue on the inside of the neck of the bottle just above the level of the product that no amount of shaking would put back into suspension

I should have taken a pic

I am wondering if that’s normal
