Post Your Unpacking Pictures

I have a very similar box setup but with the ridged home depoot brand. Corded machines and abrasives in one and the bottom bigger one for pads.

Very helpful for working away from home base.

Not that it helps now but clean garage had ADS 24% thru cyber monday. Labocosmetica was 36%

You are the one that got me looking into labocosmetica, so thanks for that. I really like the products ive tried and continue to purchase them.

Yeah I’ve been using them and Bilt Hamber since you could only order from UK. So glad they’re readily accessible.

It’s funny but I don’t trust too many opinions but you always touting Armor Detail Supply is why I tried to buy Beadz Amplify and Hero on CM. Alot of hype behind them but with You, DFB and Klasse loving them figure why not.

I been trying to be on a product freeze as I got way too much…. The struggle is real.

Soo… in staying away from buying a lot of products and being detail wise this year…. Found this on BF for $487 all in with tax (none) and shipping (free) I couldn’t pass this up being good most the year

Nice one!

I've been running a HLR15 side by side with a EB351-5/15 recently. Both machines are great, with a couple of key differences.

The EB351-5/15 certainly has more torque and slightly better battery performance. I've found the Rupes tends to slow down as the battery nears its end. Whereas the ShineMate will simply stop, which prompts a battery change straightaway rather than a degradation in cutting performance. I also think what ShineMate delivered for the price makes them very hard to look past. And from what I was told last week, it sounds like the ShineMate stuff is very, very reliable compared to the Italian reliability quirks.

The Rupes on the other hand is butter smooth and much quieter running, lacking that typical DA grind, to the point where you don't necessarily need hearing protection. I also like how the design and battery placement gives you an option as to how you hold it, the ShineMate really needs to be held by the battery, which I actually prefer but sometimes its nice to have the option. Both of those aspects as well as the lighter mass add up to less fatigue. Performance wise, the Rupes has much higher RPM headroom, the ShineMate feels like it needs another higher speed setting. And as you mentioned, the feel of the Rupes in your hands is second to none.

I was actually going to sell off my ShineMates, but I think I like having both. The ShineMate is probably better for heavy duty cutting because of the torque, and the lowest speed setting is ideal for wax/sealant application. The Rupes though is very nice to finish with.

Yes sounds about right. I have a flex C beast for heaving lifting and got this for better quality paint and finishing…. I considered shinemate as heard the were good bang for buck and not being my go to polisher.

But with sales I found on Rupes vs Shinemate it was a $67 difference… never owning a Rupes full size polisher I decided it was time.

At that price difference, its a no brainer.

From what I was told last week, the Australian distributer for Rupes is running the brand into the ground with extremely high markups across the entire machine and product line up. It's to the point now where professionals have abandoned Rupes for more realistically priced ShineMates. Normally, the "you get what you pay for" thing would apply, but that's not the impression I got regarding the reliability in favor of the ShineMates. If you were running a business, that price difference would be very hard to justify.

HLR75 Kit (machine, charger & two batteries) - $1739 AUD
EB351-5/15 Kit (machine, charger & two batteries) - $659 AUD

Don't get me wrong, I really like the HLR15, and at the price you paid, its a really strong contender. I probably shouldn't have bought mine at that price (although I did get a trade discount).

Yeah that’s crazy mark up. Surprise Rupes would let that slide.

I had to look this up, at our local "grog shops" this retails for $270 a bottle.

Yeah it’s $200-250 a bottle plus insane taxes in WA

I was in Oregon and it was WAY cheaper plus no taxes…. Paid basically what one would cost for both. Normally don’t spend this much but a good bonus plus a great deal and couldn’t pass up.

Celebrating a friends 50th for one and one for another special occasion when it pops up.
