Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Awesome!! Do post pics of your ride! :dblthumb2:

Hey thanks Sohail. As I'd written on TBHP, I won't be able to detail from this Saturday for a month. Post that, let me know when I can again [on the repainted panels] and I can't wait to start again :D..

cheers,
aK

On a fresh paint job, you cannot use any sealant or wax for at least 45 days!(I'd personally wait 2 months before thinking of sealing the paint) to allow the paint to outgas properly and cure!

But you can use Megs #7 show car glaze or any other glaze which doesn't have a sealant in it in order to gain some gloss on those repainted areas!

Check out Mike's articles regarding this -

Thanks Sohail. I had read Mike's 2nd thread that you'd posted, but reading the 1st thread link for the first time. TFS!!

Yes, I planned to not touch the repainted panels and the entire car for 30 days, but now that you're recommending, I don't see a problem in being safe and letting it cure and settle for 45 days. Might be painful to hold on for a long gap, but the glaze should keep me happy/going :D

With regards to glaze, do I need to hold back a few days to apply that or like Mike's thread had it mentioned, it's safe to use Meg's #7 glaze after 48 hours post painting?

Thanks

To other members,

My apologies in hijacking this thread from it's original intent. Sorry, I will not post anymore on this query here.

Cheers,

^No problem! Just make sure that the painter doesn't apply any sort of wax or sealant on the painted panels before delivering the vehicle!

One can apply glaze on the paint even after 12-24 hrs after fresh repaint!(I wait that long! I've seen painters apply glaze just before delivering the vehicle, thats barely 4-5 hrs after repaint)

Be gentle, as the paint at that time is softer compared to the hardness of it after fully curing!

someone needs to add up everyones orders and see how much this thread has made autogeek!

AG does a great job packing and shipping, though UPS can be a different story.

Looking forward to seeing what you got.

Thanks, I figure they are a pretty good source to get my products from. I had been using Meguiars Endurance tire shine. I got tired of the sling. I use a paint brush with little product on it. It still slings and i don't like the matte look. I like the semi wet look. So y'all will have to wait and see what i chose to replace it. Im the MAN

I was unaware the GG 6" came with a remote!!

^looks like it's going to be a similar haul that I'm ordering soon.

Its pretty amazing how the Meg's MF system spread like wildfire. If it lives up to the hype, then I'll be buying this product from now on. And That Binkmann is bright as heck!!!!

Got my order today. This is going to be a busy weekend. :buffing:
