Did this quick try out today on my daughters Altima. You couldn't see the flake in this paint until today, it's 7 years old. I detailed it for her about 6 months ago and I think she washed it once since then, and you know how most kids are about washing cars.

How does it compare to the Rupes? I know you can't compare the throw but what about the comfort and vibration? I assume the Boss 21 corrects faster than your Rupes 15.

It's a serious machine. It has alot of torque. No stalling from what I've seen with my limited 45 minutes using it today. You can put a lot of downward pressure but it really wants to just run and spin w/o much pressure and really works well that way much in the same sense of the Rupes. This just feels like it has more giddy up.

I'm going to reserve commenting for the moment on smoothness as I didn't want to use my new GG pads on a test run. So I put my 5" GG plate on and used a couple different LC flat pads. It was smooth, but I'm sure it's probably a lot smoother with the lower profile GG pads. The fact that you can use both a 5" & 6" plate on the 21 is great but it becomes apparent very quickly with a 5" plate that you want to be running the 6" bp. There's no reason to give up the correcting ability and larger surface contact so I'm sticking with the 6" bp. When I bought my Rupes 15 a couple years ago I didn't think much between the difference of a 15 & a 21. Well I stand corrected, it's a huge difference and was immediately apparent with my new GG21.

Just want to clarify... With an equal pressure applied to the Rupes/Boss, which polisher do you think will stop first? Are you saying that the BOSS will be able to take more pressure until it stops the BP from rotating?
