Post Your Unpacking Pictures

It always used to amaze me how fast and cheap the shipping was from...um...what was that place in Hawaii that everybody used to love their towels?

I think I would get stuff from there in 2 days here on the east coast...when ordering from ACC in San Diego would take 5.

Pak Shack

I still have a bunch

It seems to depend on the shipping method at times. If I ship a 9x6x4, 2lb box to Canada via USPS it may be $20-$30 and no forms required. If I ship via UPS have to fill out forms, assign each item a value, attach forms to box and I believe recipients pays $$ on pickup/delivery. Never heard of anyone paying anything extra when Postal Service is used.

UPS can be weird when shipping outside of lower 48; same 2lb box to Hawaii can be reasonable (for Hawaii) via USPS but UPS will be 4-5X the cost and not get there any sooner.

Sometimes if someone pays for lower-48 2nd day Air w UPS I can choose Next Day-Early for the same price.

Some days shipping that 9x6x4, 2lb box costs X, the next day Y to the same location.

Sometimes I think UPS & the airlines share the same scheduling/pricing software that has no consistent rhyme/reason. Things always seem to cost more when going to New Hampshire

Since going to flat-rate $9.99 shipping for orders under $99 (lower 48) my mental state has improved considerably ‘cuz sometimes trying to explain shipping defies logic

This brought back memories of my time in warehousing, explaining to sales reps and customers that freight costs can be very fluid, depending on volumes and current fuel prices. That the cost of sending a parcel from A to B isn't the same as returning the same thing from B to A, if there are high volumes leaving A because it's a city, the cost is reduced because of the volumes, and B might be a small remote town, and they have to send a van just to pick up that one parcel, it makes a difference.

The most frustrating part is explaining it to the same people over and over again because they didn't care the last time you told them, and just because they told a customer they can have their order tomorrow, doesn't mean I can make it happen, at least not without a $500 freight charge (this happened multiple times for a $30 ink cartridge that customers forget to order before they run out).

Rant over. But I do miss that place.

It’s been almost a couple of weeks since I’ve had this new 40 degree nozzle 4.0 orifice to replace the 2.0 nozzle on my Ryobi.

6520b28b56c84cc96a865eda4a38899b.jpg

Initially I was having a hard time telling them apart and I kinda felt like the 2.0 was better overall and I’m still not fully convinced the results are better with this new nozzle.

1 thing though, I at least know for sure this 4.0 is producing more water flow vs. 2.0 based on the weight in a bucket after 1min. of flow.

2.0 = 12lbs.
4.0 = 14lbs.

I’m still not convinced it rinses any better though. I’ve also heard a video where JoshV says that you don’t want to get a 4.0 nozzle if you’re using a Ryobi or similar PW but he didn’t explain why… It seems to perform exactly like the 2.0 with more water flow even though I can’t tell when using it. I wonder why he said that.

Also: There’s no way to tell this new nozzle is 4.0 since there’s no marking on it to indicate the orifice. Not on the nozzle or even the packaging. Pretty dumb for them to do that especially since they sell different sizes and they’re all the same color.

4.0 will have more flow but less pressure than 2.0. I went with a 3.0

Adam’s Graphene spray coating the GOAT so far for floor liners. We’ll see how this does.

Never used Adam's, but I like GUF for my Husky liners.

I received some new glass cleaner to try out, Garage Therapy /ONE: Glass. Thanks to Tassie, he knows me too well, I'm a sucker for clean, and I mean immaculate, glass.

This was just dropped off and I’m already having second thoughts

b14cccdbc5e35f64cdeff5855faee78e.jpg

I knew it would be heavier than my 1/4” Uber Flex and it is substantially heavier

It is also VERY stiff, and our super cold tap water isn’t going to make it any better

I’m not sure if I should even try it or just send it back

Maybe with the built in swivel at the PE end and the new swivel at the gun it will be ok

I got the Mosmatic swivel to add to my SG28 as well

If you're looking for something lighter adams has a 1/4" with a swivel on one end. It is steel braided though so not as flexible as uberflex's patented design. Currently out of stock though :(

Adam's Pressure Washer Super Flex Hose

Adam's Pressure Washer Super Flex Hose

I have been waiting and hoping their 60' hose would be in stock but so far nothing

40' would work but like you say, backordered as well

I really wanted the 3/8" NPT fittings with a swivel at one end

I might go with a 50' Uber/Flexzilla and get an accessory swivel set for the PW end

My stock Greenworks nozzles aren’t marked either which makes it hard to really know where to start, or if I should even be tinkering at all

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Aren’t they at least colored? Red, Yellow, Green, White?

I went looking for that nozzle on their website but couldn't find it. Usually, the nozzle tip will have the spray angle and orifice size stumped on it. For example, the below tip is stamped with 25 0 45, which means 25-degree pattern, 4.5 orifice. You could otherwise write both on the nozzle using a paint pen.

This ones not marked, unless the marking is underneath the rubber guard, but that would be pretty stupid. It does have 2 markings on it.

Probably made of that cheap 316 Stainless Steel just like MTM, because I’ve only used it a handful of times and like the MTM it’s already starting to rust. They should’ve used 304 Stainless and it wouldn’t have this problem. Don’t waste your money.

None of the other nozzles I have show any hint of rust and I’ve used these alot more than that Essential Washer nozzle with the rubber.

As for the 4.0 feeling similar to the 2.0 despite clearly flowing better, my guess is you just lost too much pressure.

The idea is to maximize flow while keeping as much pressure as possible. Your ryobi unit would probably flow about just as much with a 3.0 nozzle and provide much more desirable psi.

Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

How do you figure I lost too much pressure if they feel exactly the same when I spray it on my hand? I’ll do a test to see if they’re any different at knocking over a spray bottle from the same distance.

I could be wrong because I had the video on in the background while I was busy doing something else at the time… But I think I heard Matt from Obsessed Garage come to the conclusion in 1 of his videos about spray nozzles that “it makes no freaking difference” in a somewhat frustrating laughter. I’m pretty sure that’s what he said and it made me nod in agreement if he really did come to that conclusion.

They are color coded, just nothing stamped anywhere to help me know the orifice size so I have a starting point if I choose to experiment with different sizes to change pressure, flow, etc

I don't necessarily feel like I need to change anything but a guy has to tinker, ya know?

You could always be that guy and call the Greenworks CS line and ask… I’m sure they’ve got nothing doing, why not give em something to do for once? Lol.

The other ones I have are marked 2.5 orifice. The 2 that came with the Ryobi are also marked. I believe the Ryobi nozzles are 1.7 orifice.

If you had hard him talk about the shelves in his garage, you would know that 316 is more corrosion-resistant than 304.

With all due respect, he ain’t nobody. Lol

I worked for an aluminum company for 6yrs. We specialized in 304#4 stainless. I’ll stand by 304.

Btw this is what Dana Detailing MTM nozzle looked like the other day. This is 316 stainless steel.
