Hi, can you tell me what's the best wax to put after the power lock sealant?
I prefer durability and shine.
I´m not making a mistake if i want to use menzerna sealing wax APO 60, because contain silicone?

Wait 12 hours and do another coat..you won't find a wax slicker or easier than Power Lock.

Menzerna Power Lock is a great sealant. Curing for 12 hours and adding an additional coat will increase its film thickness therefore adding to the protection envelope. Sealants also layer very nicely.

If you still feel you'd like to apply a wax give Collinite 845 a try. Collinite 845 is an incredible wax giving you both superb gloss and 5 full months of protection and add additional depth.

This is generally what I do. I usually do 1 or two coats of Powerlock and then a coat of 915 for winterizing a car. I do have 845 on order though.

my exact winter combo . 2 coats powerlock , 2 coats 845. I wonder who I got that from ?

I will try 2 coats power lock and 1 coat 845, the winter is not to bad here were i live, the problem it´s more the "bombs" from the seagulls.
And i will try on my 2 cars 1 black paint the other is white

Can i use power lock on the windshields?
Thank´s everybody for the information

It´s difficult to get the 845 in Portugal do i have the same result with the Collinite Super Doublecoat Auto Wax (No. 476s)?

I've never tried it but don't see why not. Before discovering Aquapel I used to wax my windshield for years so aid in water and snow deflection and wiping.

Try a small section over on the passengers side and see what you think. If it looks good then do the rest. You can always remove it with a cleaner if you don't like it..

BobbyG do i get the same results with this wax?
Durability ?

The Collinite 475 Doublecoat is a very durable wax, i have all 3 Collinite waxes 476 915 and 845. For my winter i am going to use 2 coats of powerlock and 2 coats of 845.

476 is as durable if not slightly better than 845 IMO. However it's no where as easy to use so read up on removal issues with it. 845 is stinking easy to use, looks good, great durability and very inexpensive. I hardly have any boutique waxes left and use 845 over everything. I'd seal the windshield I do all the time with BFWD, front and back only.

In my opinion yes.

Collinite 476 is a traditional paste type wax and if your old enough to remember these from the 50's, 60's and 70's then you'll have a good idea of what this wax is like in the can.

It takes time to apply these waxes correctly and it's very easy to lay on too much making it a gigantic hemorrhoid to remove. When I use it I scrape some off the top of the product and apply it to a blue or red foam pad on my Porter Cable 7424 polisher. This makes it much easier to apply giving you complete control allowing you to get it right the first time..

Absolutely!!

Do i really need to wait 12 h to apply the 2nd coat of power lock, because i don´t have a place to keep the car for that long?
Any way i will try the power lock and the 476 on my cars, i will show the fotos (if i dont forget to shoot because of the excitement of the job) and try to explain how did it go the work.
