I got to use the XMT clay this weekend on my truck. It is not as aggressive as the Wolfgang or DP clay but not as fine as the Pinnacle clay so it falls somewhere in-between. I have medium hardness clear on my truck and my bed cover that was painted after I bought the truck is a little on the softer side. The clay did an amazing job getting off the red paint that got on the truck front when I painted my breaks. It left no marring on the truck the only place it marred the paint was on the bed cover and that was because it is softer and I was pressing pretty hard to get all the stuff off the paint. SO all and all this is a great clay because it pretty much removes everything with little to no marring.

At 8 cents an ounce it is a great deal. Someone said it is sticky and sticks to your hands? did you find this to be the case?

DP is like that. It's VERY hard to knead, and sticks to your hands. I'm looking for a different clay..maybe the Pinnacle XMT.

The same could be said about Mothers, Blue Magic, and Meguiars clay kits.

Saying that it can remove everything is a pretty bold claim to begin with.

WOW, that would be a super great deal Jenn, however I believe it is actually $2.50 per ounce...(8oz for $20)...

Any clay has the potential to mar paint... Softer paints are more susceptible to marring when claying, but any clay can mar paint, especially a soft paint...

Sorry....8 cents a gram.....pardon. It is actually a better price than the Megs clay "refill" kit at Amazon for 11 cents a gram.

Its a little sticky but not as bad as DP and much easier to fold and need.

What is the least aggressive to most aggressive from the following
Pinnacle
Pinnacle XMT
DP
Black Magic
Wolfgang
Mothers OTC
Megs OTC
Megs Mild
Megs Aggressive

AG Line goes as Fallow
Pinnacle
Pinnacle XMT
DP
WG

DP and WG to me seem to be about the same

Megs Detailing Clay
Megs Mild
Megs Aggressive

Over the Counter Clays
Megs
Mothers
Blue Magic

Megs and Mother are about the same in my book and most similar to Pinnacle IMO

Here is a little price comparison of the AGO available products.

Pinnacle 4oz = 120 grams at $20 = 16 cents per gram (less for bulk)
XMT - 8oz = 240 gm at $20 = 8 cents per gram
DP - 200 gm at $25 = 12 cents per gram
Wolfgang 200 gm at $30 = 15 cents per gram
Griot 8oz = 240 gm at $20 = 8 cents per gram
Poorboys 8oz = 240gm at $22 = 9 cents per gram
Megs OTC - 150 gm for $20=13cents per gram
Megs Mild/Aggressive 200gm for $30 15cents per gram
Mothers 150 gm for $20 = 13cents per gram

Saying it is a little sticky is a understatement! I have used the mothers clay kit and had no issues with the clay like I have had with my XMT clay. I was hoping DP was better about this but I guess from reading this it has the same problems.

The XMT clay just this weekend left tracer scratches throughout a brand new black toyota avalon and looking back was mostly likely the culprit on a red mustang I did a couple months ago. It will mar soft paint.

I think PoorBoy's or Griots are going to be my next choice.

I cant stand the sticky finger clays :).. If all of them are like XMT I guess I'll be buying mothers clay kits
