Are you serious? The Cobalt was junk compared to the Cruze.... the new model looks better, drives better, and is FAR more comfortable and roomy inside. You couldn't pay me to drive a Cobalt -- every time I had one as a rental I was running my knees into the dash!
Yes I'm fully serious! I hate the cruise. Over here the GM arm that sells the cruise is Holden, and I don't really like any of the imported rebadged Holden models (Captiva, Cruise, Epica, etc). My favorite would be the Commodore, which is a local car manufactured in this neck of the woods, which I believe was sold for a short time in the US as the Pontiac G8. Except over here we have far more variants, from the base V6 models (same engine as the V6 Camaro) to the top of the range HSV models (I love the 2011 GTS!) and some ute and station wagon variants too. Honestly, looking at a cruise is like looking at a plastic bottle, and driving one isn't much better. It is rather spacious for it's size though, and the fit and finish are quite good, but for a car guy, it's a car without passion or soul.
The SV6 (V6) version (very common as a rental car):

SS (V8)

There are many more models, if you want to have a look click the links above
