This week had a mid-week evening quick detail to help a friend prep his aging father's car for sale. Both are true enthusiasts but time and aging isn't something that we can prevent thus, unfortunately, the time has come to put his dad's car up for sale. This was my Prep for Sale or Trade option and included a quick pass with a one-step polish and sealant. Car has some swirls which could be removed but the color hides them very well and the gloss is still very good which helps too.
It's a 1996 Special Edition last-generation C4 Corvette with the LT4 motor and 6 Speed Transmission and just over 77k on the odometer. It's a multi-owner vehicle but his father has owned it since late 1999. I'm not sure of all the modifications but a few things I do know and noticed:
Overall the car is very clean, not without a few marks on it but one I would personally own and not worry about. The only real concern is a bubble in the paint on the hood but I personally wouldn't re-paint it, I would look at fixing and covering it with a set of black stripes perhaps with red/white accents in a similar fashion that the 96 Grand Sports had. Interior is a strong 8 or 9 out of 10. No real wear on the seats or carpet. Slight amount on driver bolsters but lighter than I would expect for 77k miles.
Runs great. Loads of pull and torque and it makes all the right sounds without being overbearing. Really gets throaty on the road but around town is very mellow.
If you're interested in discussing its purchase, message me or text/call, etc and I'll put you in touch with the seller for more information, photos, and details. The car is located in Central Ohio.
The process here was pretty simple:

- Custom Exhaust
- Tinted windows including the windshield. Appears to be air 70 upfront and 50% all around.
- Tinted fog and side marker lights
- Another generation chrome wheels. Barrels are pitted but the faces are very good
- The front nose and hood were painted at some point prior to 1999 and are in good condition and match 98%. Unless you're a detailer or body person or seriously looking you'd likely never know.

The process here was pretty simple:

- Polished with HD Speed, Flex XCE Polisher, Green LC Flat Pads
- Meg's Hyperdressing on tires
- WETS on Trim
