A good friend of mine contacted me about doing his car. After having his car completely painted, (for what he paid for) they did a not so great job specially on the buffing and sanding side of things.
He has been building this car for the pass 3 years, all new chassis, with roll cage, parachute and of course the holly grail, the engine which is getting the final touches on his friend's shop.
Enough about the car time to show the condition of the paint.
After I washed the car, decon the paint , the car was ready for surgery.
Tight space to work on since car couldn't be moved. We gotta do what we gotta do, make it work.

To give you guys am idea of how bad the paint was,
I did a quick 50/50 but this time I was prepared for the worse.
The worse is what I got.

Notice the left side, bad sanding and buffing job. I wasnt kidding.
That was only after compounding with M105 paired with LC purple wool pad and Flex3401.
50/50

On this angle same problem which required some wet sanding to remove a lot of the scratches.
50/50

In most cases I was able to get away with LC orange pad plus HD adapt with one step only.

Here is a perfect example that sometimes it's not with going after. Some deep deep scratches after wet sanding and buffing still remained on the top but much more improved. After all, he will be using this car to race.

Here is how the hood looked, had to wetsand the hood with 2000 grit and 3000 grit to make it a smooth as possible.

Entire hood complete

After long hours the car was finally complete.

After shots. Not the best by any shot but at least I tried my best to document the work after all the correction done to his car.

Even the engine bay got some special love before the engine gets put back in. I will update this thread again once he gets the car completely done.

Thanks for looking.
