Hello Everyone,

I know it's been a while since I've posted some of my work in here. It finally has stoped raining for a while. The weather is awsome outside where the high is low to mid 80's. Today, my rehab doctor wanted me wo detail her 2005 Lexus RX 330. Here is what the interior looked like in the begining:

Hey Steven, I thought I saw in another post that you purchased an Aztec Hot Rod but you do not mention using it in the interior detail. Why's that?

Do I have an Aztec? Yes. Do I like it? No I might use it to make the carpet in the back look nicer. I just did not have a chance to warm it up today while I was using the steamer.

I've added two new toys. One is the Tornador Car Cleaning Gun. That works well. The other is a Steamer that arrived within the past two weeks. I can use the steamer on almost all the interior and much of the exterior. I have not tried to detail an engine with it, YET. :xyxthumbs: I will go to my friends body shop and mess with a car sitting out back.

Sorry to hear about the Aztec. I decided to go with the HP60, that machine is awesome at pulling anything out of carpets. I was thinking about purchasing one of the $100 Mcculloch steamers to work on tough interior and engines. What type of steamer do you have?

E-mail me and I will let you know.

Well, I did not finish the Lexus today. After I washed and clayed it, I started finding issues with the paint. I called the Doctors office and asked them if they ever took it to automated car washes. One person said she did not know. Went back outside and started to buff the Lexus. When I started to buff the hatch, BINGO!! It had some body work done to it. Who ever did it did a good job at trying to hide it. They got over spray on the hatch, ugh….. I have not taken it out since I wanted to show her and ask her some questions about it. The only thing I did not complete on the Lexus exterior was the roof. She will bring it back to me on Monday so I can complete it.

Here is what I used on the exterior:

Prestige Auto Detailing: 2005 Lexus RX 330

Wash:
Meguiar’s Deep Crystal Car Wash
Cobra Blue Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt (2)
Yellow Bug Scrubber
PW Bug Squash

Wheels & Wheel Wells:
PW Spray & Rinse Wheel Cleaner
P21-S High Performance Wheel Cleaner
PW Bold N Bright
Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush
Stoner More Shine

Clay:
Auto Magic CM1200 Clay Magic Fine Grade Detailing Clay (RED)
DP Universal Clay Lubricant - Last time I will use this stuff

Paint Correction:
Flex XC3403 VRG Orbital Polisher Kit with Flex Bag
Compound: Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze 105 – Professional Ultra-Cut Compound w/ Orange Pad
Finishing Polish: Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze 205 – Professional Ultra Finishing Polish w/ Purple 7-1/2 Wool Pad

Other Exterior Detailing Items:
PW Trim Restorer

Since I have not finished it, I will use on more finishing wax. I’m sure I will use:

Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer

Enjoy the pictures:

:wow: I'm suprised no one has said anything about the exterior work on the Lexus. I feel bad now. :awman:  :dunno: :awman:

Okay. This is driving my CRAZY!!!!!! I can't really do much in trying to finish detailing the Lexus. We are supposed to have a ZERO % CHANCE OF RAIN and guess what it's doing outside. Drizzle. Ugh...... Good thing I have the Lexus for the day. It will be about 6 more months before I can have a detailing shop at my friend’s body shop where I will have sooooo much free room, and time, to detail any vehicle.

Well, my Doctor loved how here Lexus came out. Now, her assistant has the SAME Lexus, color and everything. I will have them bring it to me next week since I have the '89 Jaguar XJS, '05 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, Mercedes Benz '08 GL550 and Lexus SC 430. The owner of the Jag wants me to get it ready to sell it AND their '92 BMW 850I.

It's nice building up a strong clientele. :props:

Rehab....
Coke head?

Lol, what is wrong with you, man? Oh well, at least it was funny.

SRHTX, nice work on that Lexus. Glad to hear you are getting a lot more business coming your way. That steamer gives great results !!!!
