Prima Hydro Seal Installation Video

I'm glad you did a video for this! Thanks. What kind of durability can one expect out of this product? I know there are a ton of variables, but just a rough estimate.

Using Hydro Wash, we are getting about 26+ washes, or roughly one wash a week for six months. Running the vehicle through a commercial wash, for example, cuts that in half.

so this will last me less than one month if i wash everyday...

i got to say the chemicals even diluted gave me a chemical burn on a spot of skin i didnt notice......

This is a good illustrative video Nick, just like you showed me how to apply it when I was at your shop on Friday. I look forward to using the sealant this coming weekend. Joe.

Wow. thats better than I expected. I like the fact it may enhance plastic trim also.:props:

PS I am glad you guys put a good spray head on your products. Really makes using products such as nero much easier and economical due to even coverage.

Nick,

Instead of using a spray bottle, can you go straight to applying Hydro-Seal after washing(rinsing) the car?

I was gonna ask the same question but then I thought about the product flashing dry. I think after washing that it may be too wet to flash dry.

thanks for the video nick. i have been keeping a eye on this cutting edge product. seems really easy to apply!! a few questions on this product.

1. guess you should strip off all current wax/sealants that are currently on the vehicle.
2. should the hydro wash be used before application and after to maintain it?
3. after applied, it is comparable or safe to use other brand detail sprays to maintain it?

Great video Nick! Like the saying goes; a picture, in the case a video, is work a thousand words...:props:

You do a full wash on your vehicle everyday? And chemicals from what burned you?

Glad the sprayers are getting some props. At times, sourcing has been a nightmare, and they cost me almost as much as my bottles.

I had one tester do it this way. He washed the car, then applied HS over the entire vehicle, then removed it. He said it worked like a champ, but I haven't given it a try. One thing I recommend, though, is trying it this way after you have your first coat down. The product is much more forgiving after the base layer.

1. It's a good idea to strip a carnauba, but HS will apply just fine over most any synthetic.
2. Really, you can use any non-polymer autowash before HS. Dawn is even fine. You just don't want the gloss enhancers and beading agents from an enhanced wash bungling up your HS application. Those characteristics can cause streaking.

The important part is the pre-wash. You can maintain HS with any autowash in your stash. That said, we did put some work into Hydro Wash to make sure it pulled dirt and not HS. It will be a better cleaner with the smallest impact on durability.

I got my hydro seal yesterday, and , like all products, can never wait to get initial application impressions.

I used UWW to wash two panels on my car, dried, and misted distilled water onto the panels.

I applied the Hydro seal fairly liberally, and buffed off.

THIS STUFF IS GOING TO BE A HIT.

Ease of use is on par (imo) with wowo sealants.

I went out this morning, and wanted to check slickness of the product.
I got out a fresh mf, and buffed the panels I applied the hydro seal to, and like many prima products... the panels are slick... real slick.

So far, I am really excited about using this, given I can use it on a wet car, and application is silly easy.

FWIW, if we can get a month of solid protection, you could essentially use this every wash, and keep your car slick, and looking good with relative ease.

Great video Nick. I can't wait to give this product a try.

Hey rfinkle2-How about the smell? I put a lot of research into that blend. It will be funnier when I explain my research. :-)

Thanks Legacy. I couldn't figure that technology out last night.

The smell is pleasant, although it is less important to me than many other attributes, such as ease of use, etc.

I have hydro, epic, hydroseal and slick, and imo, all of the smells are pleasant.

TBH, as long as a scent is not overpowering, I'd be willing to use just about anything that is effective and relatively easy to apply.

When I read the description of the product before ordering I had high expectations, and upon initial use, it certainly lived up to them.
