Prima Hydro Seal Installation Video

I found that using a spray top for the Hydro Seal helped me apply it thinner and more evenly. (Too much HS gave me some streaking).

I sometimes use a MF towel and sometimes MF pad.

With the pad I use a spray bottle of water and keep the pad wet, but not dripping....kind of a damp/wet.

It's a nice product and does leave a slick, deep gloss.

Really not sure how you guys got streaks.(too much product???) I used Hydroseal on three vehicles with perfect results...One vehicle has had it on for over a month and its still beading like day one...For the money this is a great product!!! My avatar is a pic of the results

Wow!! Just put on multiple coats of hydroseal on my car's hatch and I'm really impressed as the application process is so much better than applying sealants with a foam pad!

The wetness lubricates the process allowing you to go further than you normally can with a foam pad and a generic sealant! + the chances of instilling scratches in the process is literally nill!

Really glad I got it on BOGO! :D

I'd place it right next to WOWA sealants in terms of ease of application and general ease of usage!!

I love Prima for making this! :xyxthumbs:

Im dying to try other Prima products now because of it!

Very unique product you have here Nick. I read your OP post the day it was posted and the video and I like it when the spokesmen/manufacture goes out of their way to show you a video tutorial like this for the consumer.

Here is a pic just after applying hydro seal.

That's very nice looking. Off-topic, no matter what car it is when its wearing TSW Nurburgring wheels makes it looked Photoshopped on.

This is what I want to try.

Prima Hydro Wax As You Dry Spray

I want to thank you all so much for trying Hydro Seal. I realize that trying something new, especially with a wacky installation process, is a bit of a leap. I'm just glad you are happy with the results. Thank you for the support and giving Prima a try.

hey nick. how much products shold be use for one normal sedan car ? I think I used around 1 oz to do a complete car, let it sit for like 15 minutes and wiped-off ( but really.. there was nothing to wipe-off, dried without streak) now if it last 10 months let me tell you it will become my favorite sealant.

smell better than any other sealant too!

Check out Prima Hydro seal beading on my baby! :D

Sorry for the big pics! But smaller ones don't really show anything!

just put hyro-seal on my saturn. easy to apply...looks great. looking forward to seeing how long it will last.
anyone know how long we should wait before putting a coat of wax over the top/does it matter what we use? I have several waxes to choose from.

you can put down any wax almost instantly after hydro-seal as I believe it cures instantly!

Check out Hydroseal beading and shedding water! -

Nice video. Is it just me, or did anyone else find that very soothing. It's like looking at ocean waves for the wax geek. We should put together a tranquility series. Nothing but soothing music and water beading off a well-waxed car. Oooooommmm.

Thanks Nick! :D

And yea! After adding a soothing music in the background, it enhanced the viewing experience quite a bit.

Totally love Hydroseal!!! :D

Thanks again!

so far so good. if it really last 6 month +, this will become my sealant of choice.

But it adds 4hp at the wheels. Make that 6 with a Prima sticker.

Many times after a thread such as this this product becomes used and we just don't hear of all the success stories.

Personally speaking, I applied Prima Hydro Seal exactly as Nick's shown in the video with fabulous success. Prima Hydro Seal lays down smooth and quickly buffs to a gorgeous gloss but as always, the final result depends largely on the surface preparation prior to application.
