Its been a while since I have done a write up anywhere, mostly I'm posting pics onto our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/PrismDetailingUK or search facebook for "PrismDetailingUK") as I'm struggling to find the time to do a proper write up, but this is a car which I think should be shared.

I was asked to carry out a correction detail inc stone chip touch up and wetsanding on a £390k Lamborghini Aventador Roadster 50th Anniversary, 1 of only 100 ever made.

Where I arrived to the dealership the car was ready for me to work on:




looking at the car in the pics it looked pretty good...right!?!

Well on closer inspection various defects were found:









The paintwork was corrected using various stages for each panel depending on how much correction was required, but the products used were Scholls Concepts S3Gold, S17+, Megs MF Cutting Compound, Rupes Compounds and using the rotary, da and bigfoot. This achieved the desired results:





The paintwork was protected with Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid, the alloys with Chemical Guys Wheel Guard, Trim with Dodo Juice Plastic Fantastic, Glass with Dodo Juice Clearly Menthol and tyres with an "in house" product.

On the last pic of the hood I see a poor paint quality, considering you did so much why paint looks so bad? This is the first pic I found on the internet, in my opinion this is how finish should look like but you know better, what do you think: Why hood looks like it looks?

Also this looks strange to me, not enough clarity (fog around light) even when paint around looks very wet & deep.

All other pictures look perfect.
 
It has paint protection film on it so only so far you can go get the clarity with that unfortunately. But very good of you to spot it

In Israel only very poor people use clear bra on very expensive cars & it looks like a condom, in my circle of friends & customers we don't use condoms :laughing:.
The only exception is when some colorful film is applied, considering paint job here is one of the worst in the world, it's acceptable.
Also I did once a black Porsche 911 & it had a clear bra over the half of the hood, the guy asked me to remove it immediately he was so shy when I told him what it looks like Im the MAN but this is how car arrived from Nürburgring, not his preference.
 
Can you sort of explain how you got the opportunity to detail such cars?

Its been hard work. But i got noticed by certain people who source these cars for me to detail
