Product Review: Poorboy's World Liquid Natty's Blue

I didn't get a chance to go another round with LNB before I left for SEMA. I thought that I would share a picture from SEMA today that may help with round 3:

Yes, that's Poorboy giving me a demo on LNB! We had a very lengthy discussion about the product and believe that we may have found the root of evil...

I'll know when I get back home and try a couple of new methods.

If it requires that much effort and trying that many different methods.....

I thought the whole point of the product was that it would be super easy to use.

The key to LND is to apply a thin even coat. As long as you apply it then it is super easy to use.

This wasn't the issue and I think I covered that already. We have narrowed it down to 2 possible variables, one of which I have suspected the whole time. :xyxthumbs:

That's exactly my point as well, Rob. From sealants to nubas, there's plenty of other options out there that are very user friendly, with no necessary learning curve or method. Just apply, wipe off. Done.

Then again, perhaps LNB is the best value in terms of price... maybe you get what you pay for???? However, DP Maxwax and Colli 845 is affordable yet very easy to use.

I've applied it very thin... but it still requires significantly more effort to remove than other LSP's.

Are you going to keep us in the dark Richard??? Can't just hint at what the "possible" culprits are???? :) Let's make this a guessing game. Here's my two guesses:

1) Incompatibility with an LSP previously on the paint prior to applying the LNB. Namely, an incompatible sealant or glaze.

2) Temperature and/or Humidity. Direct sunlight applications? Indirect sunlight applications?

It is super easy to use and remove.... Even in the full sun. Of any product that hazes I haven't seen anything that applies or come off easier. Go back and look at my videos again. It shows it right there There is some kind of rare anomaly at play with anybody that has had a hard time removing this product.

I don't get it. Very strange that you guys are having issues. It couldn't be any easier. Bad bottles of product maybe?

Corey... I am with you on this. I believe you 100%, and hopefully you believe me as well. My experience with my production batch of LNB (and Natty Red) from AG is nothing like what you had in your videos. I watched them, and I wish my experience with the product was similar to yours... but it wasn't. I wasn't even in direct sunlight. I wish I took a video of when I applied it 2 months ago :( (here in Iowa, it's already in the 30's/40's so I can't apply it anymore) But it was difficult to remove, requiring multiple swipes of the MF to remove. Again this was after letting it haze up after 5-10 minutes of application on the hood alone. The hood was cool to the touch too, no engine running prior.

I believe I have a bad batch. Maybe AG will send me a new one... because right now, it's sitting in the back of my shelf. I've never used it since, because after my experience with NR, though not as difficult to remove as LNB, I assumed this was a "normal" characteristic of PB waxes... so I didn't make a big deal of it. I should have said something sooner :(

Thanks, I absolutely and without question believe you and Richard both. :props:
I had to post that because I didn't want new members or guests to see the previous posts and think "Oh, that product isn't any good" particularly after the great experience I had with it.
It's such extreme opposites we saw... it's definitely something strange.

You are having too much fun keeping us in suspense...

Richard, tell him to give you an ounce or two of a different batch to eliminate the possibility of a bad batch!

Edit: Crap! I was supposed to send you some of mine. Oops, I forgot! soon come... will get it out by mon. or tues.
