Hi All,
A friend of mine is taking delivery of a "New-to-him" 2011 Corvette Grand Sport, black exterior, black interior... I believe it is called "Triple Black" but I'm no domestic expert. Now here is the thing, he's a busy guy, and has no interest in or time for detailing/maintaining the vehicle, and has an appreciation for his own free time, so would rather pay someone to clean/maintain the car. I'm not that guy either, I don't possess the experience nor the desire to detail cars for money, I do it for my own cathartic reasons on vehicles I own, that if I mess up, no big deal.
I do not know the condition of the paint right now.
What protectant can he put on this summer driven only car? I've seen posts about CQuartz things, and ceramic coatings etc, Ideally it would be a once or twice annually type thing that protects the vehicle and keeps it looking fresh. He'd like to spend around 300-500 dollars if possible, for whatever level of protection that can buy. If the best answer is to spend the 300 dollars on AGO products like wash buckets and spray wax, wheel cleaner and drying supplies I'll suggest it, but I fear the commitment of 4 hours to properly wash and clean the vehicle will be a commitment he will not be willing to make.
If 300-500 will only get him a nice exterior detail and sealant/wax/LSP, forgive me, I'm not hip to the business side of detailing.
