Good afternoon everyone,

I already own a Dewalt Rotary & an original PC 7424, I would like to purchase a new unit that will pretty much take the place of these 2 units. I have a bunch of 6.5" Lake County foam pads, purple wool pads, and wool 7" for the Dewalt. I would like to be able to use the foam pads on whatever my next purchase is, Not a big deal on the larger pads for the rotary, just going to sell it and the pads. I only do my own vehicles, both are in very good condition, minor swirls from the automatic car wash over the winter, couldn't beat the $26.99 a month unlimited during the cold winter months on my truck. What unit would you purchase and please explain why?

Thank You

Get a Flex 3401. Why, because it's like a rotary and a dual action in one. It's a proven tool that has been around for many years and made by a respected company (not China).

I believe the backing plate is 5.5" and should be ok with your 6.5" pads (6" pads would work better).

Put a 3.5" backing plate with 4" pads on your PC for those tight areas. Great for polishing bumpers, windows and headlights.:xyxthumbs:

IMO Get the Flex 3401. I call it the "hybrid" DA. It's the best of both worlds in terms of power (forced rotation) and it oscillates like your typical free floating da. What a Flex WILL NOT DO is stop on a curved panel. It will just keep on going. Your 6.5" Pads would be perfect for it too!

Thank you guys, I placed my order for the Flex package, definitely an expensive unit, but it sounds like a reliable tool.

the flex QC is very good and certainly a lot better than some other premium priced polishers that i've owned/experienced....
