What's up fellow geeks (AKA my panel of experts).

I started to polish my Honda Pilot to get it ready for the fall/winter. I'm using Menzerna medium cut polish. It seems a little grabby when you go to wipe it off. I haven't use it in a long while so I made sure I shook it up really good. After I wipe it off I spray Menzerna top inspection to get the panel clean. Is the grabby feeling normal with this product?

Thanks.

I've never used that one...sounds like maybe you are going a little heavy with it?

How long did you work the product, was it by machine or by hand?

I find that I don't need so much polish with Menzerna. It's hard to say because I haven't used SIP, but I do use PF2500, and that stuff is pretty thick, and easy for me to over apply. I also have to make sure to run it through it's cycle for the easiest wipe off.

It sounds to me like you are either over applying it, or not working it long enough - you should be looking at roughly 8 decent passes with slow to medium arm speed to allow the polish to properly breakdown.

These guys hit on what i was thinking too i.e. maybe too much product used. I also use it more sparingly than other products and work it loooong. There is usually very little to wipe away and mostly the rainbow of oils etc. that are left.
