I just got the PC7424xp for my b day and i really wanted it to get the swirl marks/cob web marks on my 07 Honda S2000. you can only see them in direct sunlight but it buggs me lol so my question is what pads do i need to do remove them and what kind of remover? i also got the Mothers Ultimate Wax Kit to go with the PC. what pads are reccommended for the...
-pre-wax cleaner
-sealer & glaze
-liquid car wax
thanks for any help guys! cant wait to use the PC!

Hydro-Tech Tangerine for step 1
Hydro-Tech Crimson for step 2+3
Not sure if you broke into your PC yet but be sure to locate the small washer that comes in the bag with the instructions and install it behind the backing plate. Oh, 5 1/2inch pads would be best.

so use Hydro-Tech Tangerine for swirl marks? and also what remover to use??
and...
use Hydro-Tech Crimson for sealer &glaze, wax?
sorry to be confused

A pre-wax cleaner has no abrasives in it, therefore it will not remove any swirls. Since you are looking for swirl removal I would get the Wolfgang Twins with some Lake Country 5.5 inch flat pads. 2 orange, 2 white, 2 black. I wouldn't recommend a glaze because it won't provide a good bond for the sealant or wax. Plus if you polish good a glaze won't make any much of a difference.

My suggestion would be to use Meguiar's Microfiber Correction System. Easy to use with GREAT results.

Definitely get either flat or hydro-tech pads( more the better ). As far as removing your swirls, it really depends how swirled up the car is. 105/205 is a great combo if you have a badly swirled car. As for an lsp why not start with 845. It is cheap, long lasting, and made me a believer from the first coat.

Meguiar's M105- Meguiars Mirror Glaze #105 Ultra-Cut Compound, polishing compound, ultra cut compound, paint compound, car polish
Meguiar's M205- Meguiars Mirror Glaze #205 Ultra Finishing Polish, final polish, car polish, M205, Meguires

LSP- Last step product

Honda paint is very soft. That mean it will leave micro marring in the paint after using the M105 most likely. So the M205 will clean it up some, but if that doesn't get it perfect I would recommend getting some Menzerna PO106FA.

Based my answer on the Wax Kit only, my fault. I highly recommend Menzerna Power Finish followed by their Super Finish. Used with Cyan and Tangerine Hydro-Tech pads both are very easy to work with and provide great results. Not trying to knock the 105/205 combo that's been recommended as I've never used it but word around the way is that 105 is a tough compound to figure out. It would not be my choice on a first detail, nor my recommendation. Either way I'm sure you will end up with great results and take some pics and post them on the site.

Good advice! :xyxthumbs:

As a fellow noob I would suggest that you try either the WG twins or Optimum compound II rather than M105. I tried M105 first and it clearly has a learning curve, I was covered in dust and had very little paint correction to show for it. I am sure it is an excellent product because many of the learned experts on this forum use it but it does take some learning.

I had great results with OC II finished with 205 on my truck today.

Good luck with your first Paint Correction.

I would recommend you do a search under the show n shine section where people post write ups. Search for s2000's or even other Honda's and see what combos people have used and achieved good results. That seems to be helpful for people who are new to the forum.

Also read, read, read as much info, articles on here as you can. There is a ton of good info.

We just got this for our shop and I used it to sell a paint correction on a maseratti.

I'm not a HUGE fan of the MF system. But, I agree with Mark. Just for the simple fact of less confusion, and ease of use...give the MF sytem a shot.
