Hi Collinite Fans!

I have my new Pint of Collinite 845 and have read all the recommendations of "shake it, shake it again and shake it more". However this stuff is like lard; I shake it and nothing moves. I thought about soaking the bottle in hot water to help liquefy it or even emptying the 845 into an old Mayo jar (or any wide mouth bottle) so it can be mixed with a paint stirrer.

Any idea's are much appreciated!

use the hot water trick or set it out in the sun for lillte while then back to shaking and when you think its ready shake it some more!

then have fun!

+5 on the hot water

you only need about .5 oz to do the entire car

+6 on hot water.

Let the bottle sit in hot water for several minutes then remove and shake. Do this until the viscosity is of an acceptable consistency.

On a hot day if left in the sun don't be surprised is the wax becomes watery or too thin. If this happens you can use it as is or place it in cold water until it congeals and becomes thicker.

Thanks Guys..

I had a simple questions and you gave me great info.

Much appreciated!

I found that wrapping the bottle with a heating pad works terrific.

I put mine into smaller 2 oz. bottles.

Takes less time to warm up and never use very much per application.

I always apply in watery state.

I put my bottle in my truck for a few hours before I use it. In SoFlo,it's like water after being in there for a little while.
I guess if you had a sous vide machine you could put it in the bag & warm it up like cooking a steak.
