Quick Detailers

Hi Jenn, I can only answer on a couple products. I believe Mirror Glaze #135 is the same as UQD, but don't hold me to it. Wolfgang Instant Detail Spritz is nice but expensive unless on BOGO. If it streaks it can be a little tough to remove alone, but just spray some extra in the area and the streaks clean right up. Finish Kare is just amazing! Very, very slick, smells good, easy to use but you need to change bottles as the 31oz with a sprayer is a little tricky. Just my opinion.

FK425 or Griot's Speed Shine. I have the Speed Shine and couldn't be happier.

Fk425 or Optimums Quick Detailer are nice indeed ...

Another vote for FK 425, very easy to use and looks super.

Griots Speed Shine. I just applied some to my dads car in the sun and it didn't streak or give any problems. Went on like butter and left a nice warm shine.

Well, I am going to go off the board on this one. lol. I use PB swray and wash as my QD. I cut it with water at 4:1 and does a great job as a cleaner and keeps the paint with a shine. Makes the cost of it very easy on the wallet.

My vote is for Griot Speed Shine and FK425. Just tried out Victoria QD and it's awesome.

Out of the ones mentioned I like Megs. Last Touch. High gloss ,nonstreaking, and very slick , also cheap.

Depends what you plan on using the QD for? Light cleaning or right after a wash? FK425 is awesome, but only when the surface is clean. FK425 doesn't have much cleaning ability.

Griot's Speed Shine is a great all around QD.

Crystal Mist is like Fk425, IMO, but not as good.

I have used all of these.

I know it's not on the list, but my favorite QD is Meguiars Final Inspection.

I would like a multi-use product, both for a right after a wash and minor clean up. I typically use DP Waterless Auto after a rain.

For a clean up, I would rewash. As for a QD I would use FK425.

I am a QD junkie. I have purchased CG Synthetic, Dodo Red Mist, PB S&G, Clearcoat QS, Megs FI, DG, and GriotsFK Poly Wipe, FK425, OID, and WG. IMO the best at any price are OID and FK425. WG is not a good value and is middle of the pack. You may also want to try OCW or Four Star Spray Wax. I use DP Waterless or ONR to clean before applying QD. or Spray Wax. Get better results this way.

I only use a QD right after washing the car. I use meguiars final inspection because it's a pure QD without all the bells and whistles. If I wanted all the bells and whistles, I'd go with FK 425 for non metallic paint, and OID for metallics or non-metallics.

I've been looking for a new QD and the name FK425 seems to be mentioned often here, may be time to give it a try.

I'd also put Griot's Speed Shine on your list. A member here who has tried both says SS leaves a carnuaba glow to the paint and FK425 leaves a sealant type of gloss. So if you want the warm look, GSS it is, if you want the mirror like reflection, Fk425. I have only tried SS and I love it. It smells yummy, it goes on easy and wipes away easy, even in the sun! Griots for the win!

On your list I've used DP, WG, Crystal Mist, and FK425. The WG was too expensive and looked a little streaky. I use the DP on cars I do that aren't my own (the family). On mine, I use FK425 in the Crystal Mist spray bottle. The FK425 is my favorite QD product, but the CM sprayer delivers a much more even misting than any other bottle I've found.

I'm such a newbie I have no idea what the difference is between "gloss" and "glow" Maybe it will just take time.
