I don't post too often but browse frequently and have learned a ton. This truck tows my camper and isn't a daily driver so it lives in the garage during the winter months, and very rarely sees bad weather. I pulled it out yesterday and did a nice clean and shine. Used Chemical Guys Honey Dew snow foam in my cannon, then washed with two bucket method. Used a nanoskin autoscrub fine grade sponge then followed up with Meguiars 205 on an orange Lake Country flat pad to correct some very minor fine scratches. Used Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax then the next morning topped it off with Optimum Opti-seal. Dressed the tires with Megs All season dressing, and finished the wheel wells with Bare Bones.

I have used this technique for a couple years now and the results have always turned out pretty well. Considering I only drive this truck about 8k miles a year its not out in the elements very much so this seems to last. However I am looking for suggestions for a better quality wax then the NXT. It seems like I am doing a lot of work then finishing up with an off the shelf cheap wax. Anyway here are some pics that show the reflection

Nice. It's great that you can keep it garaged.

Is it a Cummins? What size camper do you pull?

I just got a 3500 Cummins/aisin/air level rear suspension this year to pull our 31' 5th wheel.

Yep, it's a Cummins. It's the only way to go when pulling heavy. We have a 2013 Primetime Lacrosse travel trailer. It's 36 ft long and comes in just at 10k when loaded.

Looking good!!! As far as the wax question: Look into some of the sealants that are available here or something along the line of Collinite 845...I feel that you will get much more longevity out of those than what you are currently using and they are just as easy on/off too.

Of course, I could be biased on the Mineral Metallic Grey paint. ;)
 
Good looking truck. Why not just do one coat of OptiSeal, then second coat the next day?

Never really thought about it. You think that would be the better option? Im open for suggestions
 
Whenever I use Opti Seal, I apply two coats. I don't wait overnight, but anywhere from 1-3 hours between first and second coat. Just before I apply second coat, I hit the paint with Metro Blaster to blow any light dust off and then apply second coat. I always apply 2 coats whenever I use a WOWA sealant. Seems to look best with 2 coats IMO.
