For those of you who may not have heard, actor Paul Walker died today in a car crash in SoCal. He is best known for playing the character of Brian O' Connor in the Fast & Furious franchise.

I know as someone who's only 17, I've always kinda admired him. He got to play a character that always won races, and went about it with a cool factor. Sure it never showed the dangers, but it created a perfect fantasy for most of us.

My prayers go out to his family and those close to him.

He had a Steve McQueen (driving the Mustang in Bullitt) coolness about him, this is a sad sad loss & probably the end of the franchise. Apparently, they are currently shooting the next Fast & Furious movie right now.

Just read on msnbc that he was a passenger in the Porsche driven by a friend when it crashed & burned. Both died at the scene.

why are a lot of places saying its a hoax? Hopefully its not true, but if it is RIP

It was a Porsche Carrera GT. A very difficult car to drive from what I hear. The driver lost control and hit a tree.
RIP Paul Walker.

Very sad, rip Paul, prayers for the family!

Apparently, he was the passenger in the car.

Sad and enjoyed his movies.....

RIP, as the op stated, being 18 now, he was always someone I loved watching race cars from age 6 and on. Gone way too soon

Being 18 its something to think about, behind the wheel you take your friends lives in your hands. Again something to think about! On the other hand I don't feel bad for people living on the edge and having the time of their lives, I can't think of a better way to go!

Roger Rodas a Pierlli World Challenge racer was the driver. Both should have know better about street racing

Like I said I'm only 17 so I feel ya, he always was some what of a role model. In terms of being that guy you always wanted to be. But it's definitely a reality check and makes me realizes I need to slow down and be even more cautious.

the possibility of death is always the next card in the deck!
