Do you feel its wide enough on a crop camera for a walk around?

More than wide enough on a 1.6x body for walking around. I do have a 10-22 but I only end up using that for specific shoots.

I just figured out how to shoot flash off shoe. But was having trouble later that night, stopped working.

Yeah lucky for me the 7D has a built in transmitter. I just set it in camera and on flash and placed it on the floor.

I wasn't on planning on buying a transmitter for t2i. Which flash did you get?

My first flash was a cheaper bower shoe mount which really worked great for the price. Then I got a 430EX II

I took these from a Zodiac boat of the ship I was cruising on back in 1987...the Windstar. Next month my wife and I will be cruising on the Windstar's newer bigger sister...the Wind Surf.

Me too. I would like to learn more about flash. Just gotta practice I suppose.

I might pick up another flash down the road. Wireless flash is real fun, can get some really cool shots out of them.
